OT: Law and Order Cancelled
It's a sad day...I still enjoy every time a "Perp" is being questioned and "lawyers up".

I loved this show for years but I had trouble watching the most recent DA. He was such a tool.
Him and Briscoe made that show!
No. I meant the Assistant DA that replaced McCoy when he got promoted. The new guy stunk. I think it was Cutter or something like that. McCoy and Briscoe were the best.
But is being replaced by Law and Order: Los Angeles. I wonder if Sam Waterston will be packing up his TD Waterhouse account and becoming the LA DA.
He's busy doing commercials for Old Glory Insurance.
LA - D - DA - D - DA !!!
(LoL)
For a second there I thought SVU was going to get the axe as well, and was about to get very upset at the lack of new opportunities to see Mariska Hargitay.
Yes, +1 for the Mariska Hargitay, my thoughts exactly.
I prefer the original to SVU. SVU is more about emotions and the cops satisfying their unconscious desires (Mariska Hargitay catching rapists, etc.). The original was always about the system, which I found a lot more interesting. Lately, though, SVU has been more watchable since all of the main characters left at once leaving little to no bridge to the past seasons.
but mariska hargitay is hot. your argument is invalid
I almost want to go create 15 accounts so I can +1 this comment a bunch of times, but alas, I have no motivation.
I'm not a part of your system.
Are you talking about Olivia Benson? I don't know a Mariska Hargitay, sorry.
....Hollywood will be making a big screen movie of this TV show in the near future.
I feel like you think every single OT thread is dumb.
Wait, scratch that. Make that every thread period.
Loved Lennie, his one-liners were the best. I can watch reruns of this series over and over without it ever getting old.
Lennie: We don't really give a damn about these people looting and bustin' up people's cars. That's not our department. We're homicide.
Suspect: So?
Lennie: So, your friend there is homicidin' somebody.
Props to the late, great, Jerry Orbach
Yeah, I miss Lennie. And Claire.
I wouldn't be surprised to see SVU on the chopping block before too long. They have pretty much run out of ideas for the show. And they haven't had a good prosecutor since the Peaches era.
It's rerun every hour, on the hour. Probably on it's way to it's own network.
But I'm not that keen on Waterston as head DA. And the Cops haven't been the same since Lenny and Greene.
But we may be losing our best 2nd chair ever...
The NYT this morning said that more than 8,000 people were employed by the production company.
Not quite "were" - it includes the spinoffs.
By one estimate, more than 8,000 people in the city are employed, directly and indirectly, by the series and its two spinoffs, including many theatrical actors who make appearances.

I just learned that Pitts (the tall, gangly one) from "Dead Poets Society" is Sam Waterston's son. Who knew?
Best show on tv.
My wife is disappointed but I lost interest in recent years.
Or your wife?
