Glad he is staying in the organization. Probably could have come sooner, but it is what is it is. I don't think the roster is as big of a mess going forward as some think, but we will see.

By sooner, I assume you mean the day before he decided to trade Chauncey for Iverson and thus doomed the Pistons to going down the path of being a basement dweller in the league for the forseeable future.

Dumars reign was a tale of two cities.  There was no middle ground.  He went from being one the best and most respected front office guys in pro sports to all of the sudden being hands down one of the worst.  We may have better players now then we had a few years ago, but they are not players who work well together.  This current roster is complete mess and don't think it's going to be that easy to get it cleaned up.

I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

(Insert comment here about how Burke actually sucks and that KCP is really much, much better than it seems by quoting some obscure basketball stat that nobody's ever heard of or uses and that Dumars actually did the right thing by drafting him)

KCP has managed to get his shooting percentage even LOWER than Brandon Jennings career mark of 39% (though Jennings is even worse for the year at 37.4%).  You have to give him credit for that, right?

He signed Josh Smith, so he should be fired (I mean, step down)

  • Of the 65 players that have attempted more 3s than Josh Smith, none shoots worse than 30%, Smith shoots 26%
  • No player with at least 150 3PA has a worse percentage than Josh Smith
  • Of qualifying players, only 20 have a worse True Shooting Percentage than Josh Smith
  • Of the 20 players with a worse True Shooting Percentage than Josh Smith, none has as high of a usage rate as Smith
  •

I feel like when your family has an old pet dog that is sick and needs to be put down.  You love and appreciate him for all the memories, but his time has come, and you know what needs to be done.
