OT: Halloween Costume Ideas
We're a few weeks out from October 31st, so the Halloween parties are right around the corner. Post your costume ideas here.
I've always felt that costumes are for trick-or-treaters and college students going to parties. As I've aged though, I've also discovered that that parents are encouraged to be in costume at kids' events as well, so hopefully this is a thread most people can make use of.
I personally have never been fond of wearing big/ornate costumes and favor those that are clever and super easy to make...think Jim from The Office:
Last year I was so inspired by Brady Hoke that I taped a football to my shoe and wore a T-Rex hat: Puntasaurus.

That picture looks like someone photoshopped Dantonio and Rodney Dangerfield together. Weird.
Guess that's why he's always saying that Sparty gets no respect.

I'd love to go to a party some day as Mark Dantonio. Just Spartan gear and the most dick-ish face I can make all night.

Just buy an Agent Smith (The Matrix) mask and you are good to go.

I was Harbaugh in full SF garb last year. I even wore it to the Indiana game and got quite a few shoutouts.
So I'm thinking this year....Harbaugh in full Michigan garb.

I would throw egg on my face and go as Tim Kawakami . . .

Should have made one with Brutus Buckeye instead of the sheep.

Dentist with a hunting rifle.

My 4 year old is going as a ghostbuster. I found an inflatable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man costume.
October 9th, 2015 at 5:10 PM ^
Nice, I like it. My 4 1/2 and 3 yr old are newly fascinated by the Stay Puft marshmallow man.

was at Grand Azteca in August. They have one of those pincer claw games. Snagged a miniature Stay Puft Marshmallow Man on only my third dollar.

Make a clock consisting of only prime numbers and go as 'Prime Time".

I knew someone who dressed up as a witch with sand glued to her costume. She spent the whole evening having to explain to everyone that no, she wasn't a witch but a "sandwich."

not recommended for school, could be arrested for bomb costume.

There is only one acceptable answer:
Bo hat, M sweatshirt (with Sharpie pen on lanyard), khakis.
October 9th, 2015 at 5:04 PM ^
This truly is the only answer. All six of my nieces and nephews (ages 4-11) are going as Jim Harbaugh.
I am trying to talk my wife into Harbaugh-izing our 3 yo daughter...princess elsa sucks.

Don't forget about the CLEATS!
Or the men and boys could go, weather permitting, as shirtless Satellite Camp Harbaugh!
October 9th, 2015 at 7:25 PM ^
but this is Halloween. Should be something scary, something that probably kills things...like offensive production, and win totals.
Al Borges.

a shirtless Al would be scary!

Mark Davis drives 500 miles in his 1997 Dodge Caravan to get that haircut.
No, I'm not joking.

Always thought about Quailman because I loved Doug growing up. Always too lazy and throw on the banana costume instead.

Nice! Would be hard to keep the belt up like that though
October 9th, 2015 at 5:09 PM ^
yourself, roll around in some grass clippings and go as a Chia Pet.
October 9th, 2015 at 5:19 PM ^
a couple came with a lemon hanging on a string from her waist and a potato on a string hanging from his waist. Sour puss and dictator. Simple and easy.

Going to an adult party in a couple of weeks and am thinking of going as one of the guys from the "dick in a box" skit from snl. Or the shower curtain costume from the karate kid.

the year that came out. Didn't realize it was not an adults only party though. I got some questions from the kids in attendance.

My 9 year-old daughter, who like my wife is a big fan of "Doctor Who", has decided she is going to be a Tardis for Halloween. How we are supposed to achieve that...well...we'll figure it out, but this is the aim. My son, on the other hand, wants to go out as a Power Ranger - at least the base for this outfit can be found at Party City. Not sure about myself - to aid the kids, I wandered the neighborhood in chain mail last year as a medieval foot soldier.

Boxes from the grocery dumpster, elastic straps. Think Bass Drum harness with a face hole in the middle where the door would be. Paint and enjoy!

Why did you give all the "end of OT threads" updates? You posted it like 3 times....yet....

The "End Of OT Season" is more a narrowing of focus where considerably more discretion is used regarding what remains and what goes - it is not an absolute prohibition on such threads. As for this one, it's October and we can spare some space for people looking for costume ideas.
If I failed to make the nature of "the end of OT season" clear back in August, my apologies.

Dishwasher box from a Lowes/appliance store (ask at the delivery area). Worst case is head to your local uhaul store and buy a large moving box. Then you either tape it up and cut a hole for the head, or go with dollar store suspenders. Blue spray paint, white masking tape, and have your daughter wear a blue knit cap with a glow stick on the top. Max cost about $15, she'll love it.
Btw- my 6 yr old is going as Sabine from Star Wars Rebels, she's making the whole family dress up. I have to decide between kanan, zeb, or chopper. Nerd daughters. Love em.

I'd go with one of the doctors. If you have hair, pick your favorite. If you don't, go as Chris ecclestons doctor. Black trench coat, black pants, colored button up shirt, glow stick with some duct tape for your sonic screwdriver.
