OT: Grubbs hastens back to the northwest

grubbs to Seahawks is a revoltin' development to alabammers.   Michigan and the Big Ten has a good chance of kicking ass in the near future.  Sherrone hire looking better than DeBoer's at this point.  LFG.

so glad saban is gone!

Space Cowboy's attempt at trying to be informative and funny is an epic fail.

Just sounds like a bunch of gibberish.

As far as Moore is concerned, he needs to secure coaches, hire coaches, retain current players and recruit new ones, lots of work to he done.

We need to focus on Michigan and things will take care of themselves.

So no, I don't want your number
No, I don't want to give you mine and
No, I don't want to meet you nowhere
No, I don't want none of your time and

No, I don't want no scrub

grubbing is a technique we usually employ for goal line or short yardage situations.  it is of course a slang name for the philosophy of 'low man wins' on the LOS.   we teach the technique, which is basically submarining the opposing lineman, though there is more to it.  it is not gap control, it is simply mano-a-mano.

is this the grubb you are referring to?

Yo La Tengo be thankful for what you got

ra Kaplan and Georgia Hubley formed the band as a couple in 1984. They chose the name Yo La Tengo, Spanish for "I have it". The name came from a baseball anecdote from the 1962 season, when New York Mets center fielder Richie Ashburn and shortstop Elio Chacón found themselves colliding in the outfield. When Ashburn went for a catch, he would yell, "I got it! I got it!" only to run into Chacón, a Venezuelan who spoke only Spanish. Ashburn learned to yell, "Yo la tengo! Yo la tengo!" instead.

Grubb?

Johnny Grubb?

In his first season with the Tigers, 1983, Grubb, wearing number 30, played in 57 games, mostly in right field and as the designated hitter; he batted .254 with four home runs and 22 RBIs. That season the Tigers were in the hunt for the American League East lead most of the summer. In fact, Detroit flirted with first place as late as August 26, when the club was just one game behind the eventual World Series champion Orioles. The Tigers wound up finishing second with a 92-70 record, but the groundwork was set for 1984.

Though he was now 35, Grubb’s playing time increased in 1984, up to 86 games and 276 at-bats as an outfielder, DH, and – a more common occurrence – pinch-hitter. Now the seasoned veteran on a team featuring twentysomethings Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, and Lance Parrish, among others, Grubb settled into his role and enjoyed the ride. “It was fun to watch those guys play and every once in a while to jump in and do something myself,” he said.

"Michigan and the Big Ten has a good chance of kicking ass in the near future".

Michigan and the big ten just won the national championship less than a month ago.

What staff shakeups have happened that makes Sherrone's hiring better than DeBoer's?  No matter what the reason is, Sherrone has lost 3 key staff members, and has promoted 2.  He has to fill the OC, DC, TE coach and ST coach.  I understand Sherrone has only been on the job for a week, and he should be given adequate time to find the perfect fits for these positions, but has Michigan even conducted interviews?  We see stories regarding possible candidates for Michigan, but that is as far as it goes.

* Shortly after posting this, I saw an article by Angelique from the Detroit Free Press saying Michigan will have their entire staff in place by next week or the week after.

I would have liked Grubb for the Lions OC job if Ben Johnson would've left. If you're going to dip into the college ranks for an OC, he would be close to the top of the list.

College football has a very real problem on their hands and better act quickly which they are not known to do. It is seriously the wild wild west and grown men are growing increasingly tired of having to coddle and bribe a bunch of young prima donnas to come play and stay.
