a vitally important recap of all the dumb tweets sent during the Harbaugh coaching search
OT: Friday Night Drinking Thread? Friday Night Drinking Thread
As I said in the Posbang thread, I am drinking a Wormtown Hopulence. About to finish and move onto the next one. Yesterday was IPA Day, but I'm letting that carry over into today. Who cares? Every day is IPA Day.
Had a Hookiebobb IPA from Crazy Mountain and finishing up the night on a Mad River Steelhead Extra Pale Ale. The night has gone downhill, but it happens when you're trying new beers.
Tea. It's my new thing.
Deep Ellum IPA. One of my favorite beers.
Just finished a DRIPA. Had a nice nose and initial hop bite but the aftertaste left something to be desired.
Anyhow moving on to Kuhnhenn's Black IPA that they brewed especially for Ashley's. Review coming soon....
On the malt character that I expect from a black IPA but as it warms toward room temperature it's getting a more robust flavor. It is described as a session black IPA so I guess it's ok that it's a little lighter on flavor.
I don't think that's horrible. It still reads as roll tide. But technically, that I (J) is an issue. Not near the worst I have ever seen
Rafi is day drunk!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!
It's my fav. beer
Picked up a case of Torpedo Extra IPA tonight. The wife & kids went to the beach for the weekend and I'm at home...watching reruns & drinking...god I'm getting old.
My brother and I always wish each other to have a good vacation whenever our respective wife and kids are out of town without us. Its great to take time off work and leave Dodge but its also great when the family Ieaves Dodge while you don't. I'm not saying a week long thing, but a day or two of space and quiet and going into the bathroom undisturbed....now that's a piece of heaven. Enjoy my friend and know there are people out there who are envious.
Will do my friend, thanks!
I am currently drinking a local offering from Altitude Brewing. It's their Black IPA, and later on I'll probably have an Odell St. Lupulin Extra Pale Ale. Slainte!
Left Hand Polestar. I don't like it.
I found a supply of this in the depths of the beer fridge - a bit late for spring, but it tastes great now, having sat there for parts of spring and summer now...
Good for nostalgia.
Family movie night at church, featuring cars 2 on the big screen. Considering sneaking a Jackhammer in my water bottle.
Hell awaits you.
Got a couple tall boys, watching the Tigs
Hopworks IPA. One of Portland's finest.
@ Lollapalooza rocking my face off. I've seen quite the amount of Michigan attire, I've been impressed.
Queens of the Stone Age just kicked A, now awaiting the one and only Nine Inch Nails. The drinking hasn't been top notch (Budweisers and many pulls of Captain Morgan/Crown Royal) but it's been a damn good Friday thus far.
Would t it be awesome if we could take a picture if our drinks from our phones and auto upload them here like a text message ??
Anthony might think its a bad idea. Bu Carlos Danger is all for it.
Cheap red wine from a box.
Epic first post to MGoBlog, No?
My first post was in a drinking thread too.
Don't know how it took me so long to finally try this one. Epic Brewery fails to disappoint.
Destroyed my shoulder earlier this week and after trying to play a kickball game, I've resorted to a night of pain, drinking beer and watching the Tigers.
PBR until I finally empty the fridge.
Sam Adams Irish Red.
New Belgium Trippel
Ale brewed with coriander
I like it. Not the best trippel out there, but for the price, it's fantastic.
La Fin Du Monde, best Tripel out there. Damn I love that beer.
At 7.8% ABV for the New Belgium Trippel, it's a lot of bang for you buck
La Fin and its 9% abv laughs at you.
Is that in the same price range as the New Belgium? I love Trippel's, so I'll have to look for this one.
What would you consider the best Trippel out there in that price range?
De dolle ouerbier and st bernardus trippel. Moving onto dales pale ale now
Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel. RIP Elmer.
I don't realize that he had died. Elmer T. Lee has to be the best value bourbon out there.
He passed a couple weeks ago. And yeah, I can see why people rave about this stuff. Quite tasty.
I also like eagle rare in that price range. Those are my utility bourbons. Folks get snobby because they are moderately priced, but they stand up to bourbons that are much pricier. Always try to keep something nicer around as well though.
