OT: Cavs vs Pistons - What's your prediction?

Submitted by mGrowOld on

Over the past two months of the season LeBron is averaging 29-9-9 a game with insane efficiency (shot 13-15 Monday against Atlanta).  His three ball is largely back and when his switch is on like it is now the Cavs are a very tough team to beat.  Love has also been shooting playing very well as of late (defense notwithstanding) and as long as Kyrie remembers to pass when he's on the floor with the first team and make shots when on the floor with the second team I think we'll be ok.  I'm not going to even mention his defense cause I don't think he's ever actually played any this year.  The Cavs are deep, rested and ready to make a run.

Granted the Pistons played the Cavs tough in the regular season but it's a whole new ballgame now and I think Detroit is still a year and one more scorer away from going deep into the playoffs. I love your coach and love seeing the Pistons back in the playoffs but sorry Reggie Jackson, "Goliath" advances to round two in a tough, physical and close five game series.

What say you?

Not sure where you're getting your stats from but Lebron did not average 29-9-9 over the last 2 months of the season.

Anyway, I think the pistons have a shot to win the series.  They have a lot of guys to throw at Lebron (Morris, Harris, KCP, Johnson) and played them well in the regular season.

Pistons in 6.

have no shot to win this series.  They are an up and coming team but they are several peices away from being able to beat or really contend seriously with a team like Cleveland.  The Cavs  are a very, very good NBA team with multiple elite talents and no glaring weaknesses and they will get every single whistle in every single game.  Van Gundy is a good coach and he may be able to steal a game for this team but they don't have the horses or the experience to beat Cleveland or seriously compete right now.

if it weren't for him, the Cavs wouldn't sniff playoff. The roster is awful. Kyrie is a great individual talent but doesn't quite grasp how to be a PG. K-Love is overrated and is a huge liability on defense.  The bench isn't good at all.

Yes, I'm aware it's a 7 game series.

Could be wrong, just don't have confidence in this year's Pistons vs. Cavs. You could see us winning a game for sure, but that would be it.

are pure.  He bought most of his Detroit properties on the cheap and has raised the rent up to 4x in some buildings.  Although I do give him credit for making needed repairs and improvements to some of his properties.

He's making a killing.  And will make even more if he dumps them at the right time before the next commercial real estate crash.

/not a fan.  Good luck finding retail / office space downtown if he doesn't want to rent to you.

Cavs in 6. I expect the Pistons to play them very tough and this series could be a springboard for next year.

Pistons do present some matchup problems for the Cavs (they're not a great PnR defensive team and Jackson/Drummond is one of the most lethal combos in the NBA already), but at the end of the day, the Cavs just have way more talent and experience. And in a series, the Pistons' lack of any sort of bench will kill them at some point
