He can wear the shit out of that Tommy Bahama. Why'd we let him go?
August 19th, 2012 at 12:34 PM ^
Can you say OMG Tommy Bahama?
Also, OMG Undershirtless.

Oh My.

Wouldn't anyone look like a standard tourist in front of the Grand Canyon wearing an awful Hawaiian shirt?
Now wearing that shirt in front of a grand chasm would be totally different.

It's Hoke full-speed ahead, and no looking back.

So now Michigan coaches have to look a certain way? Jeebus Christ, this guy is for the birds!
August 19th, 2012 at 8:11 PM ^
Good to know that we can tell all we need about a coach by the cut of his faux-beach bum gib.

I, too, form my opinons on coaches based on advertisements put up in campus bookstores.

Congratulations! First fun governor comment

my post was more in jest than at least some on this thread, but sure, look at it that way if you want.

Just to clarify, mine was sarcastic too. If I was in an advertisement like this, I'd expect to get ripped on (sadly, I'd still take the cash to do it).

This is quite easily the uncomfortable that a picture has ever made me feel. How was this guy our coach for three entire seasons?

I think he looks good, it fits with the whole Arizona lifestyle in my humble opinion. I think that particular shirt is a little brash, though I may look into getting a Maize and Blue shirt for a warmer game.

...but Reyn Spooner used to. You can find them on E-Bay fairly regularly. I own one myself and have been rocking it on football weekends since I decided that at aged 40-plus it looked a little silly to still be wearing a replica jersey.

Do you mean that the Reyn Spooner official Michigan print luau shirt isn't any good?
The last time I heard any news reagarding Coach Rodriguez's wardrobe, he had donated all of his Michigan team gear to the local Salvation Army for an auction which sent several thousand dollars to charity.
Which all goes to the point that for at least some Walverines, their memories are just as short, their collective understand just as badly warped, and their fanatacism just as bad, as any other team.

whenever it's been too long since i've had a chance to think "that guy's a real asshole" about somebody, you step right up. thanks.
August 19th, 2012 at 1:32 PM ^
I was thinking of someone just like you. Not you, actually. Because I don't think much about you at all. Just all of the people like you.
And oh by the way, sorry for my typos; "regarding," and "collective understanding" is what I intended.

I thought, " I wonder how long before Section 1 appears to defend RR against a post that literally just shows a funny picture of him." Turns out it takes about one hour.
Can you tell us again about the time RR parted the Red Sea while John UUUU! Bacon turned water into wine?
August 19th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
...showing one of the godawfulest Michigan shirts I could find (having been at the Rodriguez auction, I think that he had been given two or three of them that were, like a lot of the stuff, virtually unworn), and pointing out that Rodriguez turned his schmatta into money for the Salvation Army, that guys like you would attack me.
You can see what sort of deterrent you pose.
It's not that I don't care about you; it's that I care less than nothing about you.
August 19th, 2012 at 4:18 PM ^
With all due respect, I don't see how Rich Rod donating a bunch of the free gear he acquired during his 3 years at Michigan is all that significant. I’m sure that he does his share of philanthropic work, but that just makes him not a bad guy; my unsolicited $0.02.
