Fred Jackson coaches practice each week, and from the pressers, I know that we kick ass during practice, ergo Fred is the best coach on the planet. That's right, we talkin bout practice.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||Rational statement||
Not sure if that is allowed. And I completely agree with your statement.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||route progression||
Gardner shows a lack of ability to go through progressions which impacts his ability to get rid of the ball. He is still our best option.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||wind = trash tornado||
too bad it looks like the trash tornado is our team at the moment.
|37 weeks 4 days ago||I did not hate them||
Which is an upgrade from my usual stance on uni changes.

|39 weeks 5 days ago||difference is current ties||
To me there is a vast difference between hiring someone with ties to MSU or tOSU vs someone currently on staff there. The former is plausible. Bo was not at tOSU when he took the Michigan job.
|40 weeks 31 min ago||Oh really?||
Cause I am still in Portland on a conference call...
Enjoy the game. Go Blue.
|40 weeks 5 days ago||agree on the blitz||
It seems Mattison gets credit for the solid defense and gets a pass for the big plays given up. There was no reason to blitz in that situation. Also, the blitzes are rarely disguised. Most QBs, unless it is their 1st time playing, can see the blitzes coming an make an adjustment. In the case of the screen that busted for 70 yards, no point in sending an all out blitz, especially when it is 3rd and long IIRC.
I recall a few other instances where we showed blitz, the offense recognized it, made checks, and we still blitzed, giving up an easy completion on 3rd down. That being said, the defense is not the problem, or actually a problem. Perhaps some of Mattison's jawing with Hoke is because he knows that they need to pitch a shutout or give up zero TDs to stay in games.
I liked seeing the fire from Mattison. Would have liked seeing more from Hoke.

|40 weeks 6 days ago||Thought Shane was better||
Saw him going through progressions and stepping up in the pocket to make a throw that was not a short armed shot put looking motion. His int, in my mind, was him trying to make something happen and move the ball. (and and wet ball since it was getting rained on for 30 seconds before it was snapped)

Hope that the game is called so the final score is not worse. I was fooled by iron pyrite by 2 coaching staffs. RR and Hoke. hope each week that the team can put it together but am not surprised when they don't. kids don't look like they enjoy playing the games.
|40 weeks 6 days ago||Keep waiting for things to click||
Would love to see some fight from the team. don't know if it is there. trying to believe that there is still a chance to pull out the win.
|40 weeks 6 days ago||6-6||
Not sure what the other 4 wins on the schedule are.

Obviously you are not a surfer.
|1 year 32 weeks ago||play calling flow||
There Is absolutely no flow to play calling. it is like he is calling plays from a grab bag and not watching what is actually happening on the field.
|1 year 32 weeks ago||wtf||
Not going for the field goal to tie the game is Fucking idiotic.
|1 year 33 weeks ago||Agreed||
I first noticed it during the PSU game. The body language of some offensive players seemed to show their disappointment in the plays that were coming in... I noticed it today, too. I don't see urgency in either this coaching staff or the players. That is one of the more disappointing aspects of this season... I want the Brady Hoke from his intro press conference who had fire and determination. Not the one who looks lost and defers to his coordinators. I want coordinators who make adjustments and look to find something that works with current personnel. Not ones who like to hear themselves talk about X’s and O’s.
|1 year 33 weeks ago||Recruiting||
This may be the point in time where we can look back and see when this staff's recruiting magic stopped working.
|1 year 34 weeks ago||Lewan has that?||
I think some if the problem is the upperclassmen leadership on the team spent their 1st 2-3 years trying to be the class clowns and the funny guys giving a good soundbite.
|1 year 34 weeks ago||3rd down efficiency||
M can not get opposing teams offense of the field. This has been a consistent theme all season. accountability has to beer placed somewhere and I, for one, will not blame or on youth or inexperience; or that the players need to execute better.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||or||
|1 year 37 weeks ago||Maybe that's the problem||
The coordinators are actually old.

|1 year 39 weeks ago||Cropped?||
Was this version of the pic cropped to remove the bottle of Smirnoff in the backfround? Dr. Saturday blog pointed it out http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/michigan-ol-graham-glasg...
Btw- I'm getting the dog version of this sweatshirt.
|1 year 40 weeks ago||Unfortunately||
I can't chalk this stuff up to, luck, a bad bounce here and there, or youth. When it happens consistently, my feeling is that it is symptomatic of a sloppy team. Getting out of the way of a punt that you are not catching is fundamental.
|1 year 42 weeks ago||Can it be 5'8" or under?||
If so, I'm in. When Michigan Football has a 5'6" maybe I can have dual citinzenship.
|1 year 42 weeks ago||Holding Funchess down||
The PI on Funchess, the defender had his jersey the entire play and prevented the receiver from jumping to get the ball because he was being pulled down by the jersey... I do think that out TE need to learn body position and control a bit better though, use their size to box out or work across the body of the defender and get to the ball.

Brown Bear = Beano Cook reincarnated? Hope he is not trying to make up for those Ron Pawlus predictions.
