BC is one of those teams that could easily swing this the other way. Don't be surprised if they win 7-4. It's always good when a 1 seed goes down though, and I would love to see us play Colorado College in the Regional Final.
March 25th, 2011 at 10:42 PM ^
4-2 Colorado College w/ 8 left in the 2nd.
March 25th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
CC is the 14th team in the pairwise. BC is the 3rd team.
March 25th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
In case anyone missed it, Yale over Air Force 2-1 about 3 minutes into OT.
I had a lot of hope for that one, but Yale was badly outshooting Air Force and it felt like it was just a matter of time. Air Force played well though and gave Yale all they could handle.

if CC wins, are we the "home" team tomorrow?
March 25th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
We would get last change, yes.
March 25th, 2011 at 10:47 PM ^
Do you want to tempt the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing?
Go outside, turn around three times, and spit.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
I stand corrected. You didn't jinx it. You did the opposite of jinxing it. Well played.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:34 PM ^
Credit for the second thing from high atop the thing reference in the past week.
March 25th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
5-2!!! Go baby go!!!
March 25th, 2011 at 10:49 PM ^
2G, 2A for that dude. I think he was at the World Juniors when we played them in December.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
If you're talking about Jaden Schwartz, yes, he played for Canada at the WJC (until he was injured).
March 25th, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
Bye bye BC!!!!
March 25th, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
CC looks good
March 25th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
March 25th, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
I was about to post the same thing. I thought I maybe the only one who is a little concerned about playing this team. CC is absolutely dominating BC, and they are looking good doing it. Hopefully CC gets all their goals outta their system this game.
March 25th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
CC is good. Really good. Don't get too excited about playing them tomorrow although I won't complain about BC losing. Someone look up the line for CC of Schultz Schwartz and Schwartz. Yes they call it the law firm line, but they are unstoppable tonight. Other than that CC is beatable
March 25th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
Go Blue!
March 25th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
This is just embarrassing...7-2. CC
March 25th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
Holy shit, this is pretty crazy...7-2?
March 25th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
BC is done. No way the come back from 5 down in 22 minutes
March 25th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
This is absurd.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:00 PM ^
HAIL TO THE VICTORS AND TAKE CARE OF THOSE DAMN TIGERS!!!
March 25th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
Hmm...I wanted BC to lose, but I also didn't want CC coming in so hot...
March 25th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
#22 in the Pairwise Air Force took #1 Yale to OT. #8 Union lost to #9 Minn-Duluth 2-0 and now #3 BC is getting crushed by #14 CC.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
Uh, well, yeah but CC looks pretty impressive, and gave UM all we wanted in the GLI.
Still would rather play CC than a team that's won two of the last three NCAA titles.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:02 PM ^
uhhh 7-2. CC looks HONE-gree.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
We did outshoot them 39-30 but Joe Louis is quasi-home ice for us.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
If CC is killing BC then I don't want to play them any more than I would want to play BC. It'll be a tough game no matter what.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
they look awesome, but I think you can start discounting the game after around the 5th goal. i think BC has really given up since then. Credit CC for crushing their spirits though after BC made it 4-2.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:16 PM ^
5-2, or 10-2, they are outworking BC.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:13 PM ^
the defending NCAA champion and a truly dominant team most of the year.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:13 PM ^
Mostly we need to avoid penalties tomorrow. They killed us while we were shorthanded, but were fairly mortal 5 on 5.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:16 PM ^
There's been a helluva lot of spirit-crushing recently, with Tennessee, Duke, and now BC.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:20 PM ^
CC got 4 goals on 5 power plays against us in the GLI although we had 1 short handed goal. On the flip side, we only had 1 power play goal on 6 power plays.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:38 PM ^
BC was better than we are and is usually at their best in the tournament, so I'm glad to see them gone, but this game is terrifying. CC took all of their chances really well. What do we know about CC in terms of style of play? Do they play on Olympic Ice -- which would imply speed?
Oh and also this is going to make the (tiny) college hockey media get even more hot over the WCHA: the SEC of college hockey.
March 26th, 2011 at 12:01 AM ^
Simple version is they have a deadly power play (over 25% on the year, I think) and a killer top line focused on a set of brothers. Other than they're fairly ordinary, though their goalie made a lot of big saves early tonight to keep them in the game. Defense is bad, PK is opportunistic but not great.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^
Look fairly ordinary. If Moffet turns the puck over up the middle like he did today, we will be in trouble. But if we keep the puck up the boards and in deep, I like our chances.
March 25th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
i gotta like that BC can still score against CC. even though CC is probably on cruise, it's nice to see that CC can give up some weak goals too.
that's enough scoring though from BC, i still want to play CC
well, hopefully CC blew their wad against BC (so sad to see BC go down /s). We can beat them.
