OT: 2011 NBA Playoffs
Wooo Wooo! Playoffs are here! I expect my Bulls to beat the Pacers in 5. They should have a great chance to get to the Finals.
Then a nice first round match up with the Celtics and the Knicks. I expect the Celtics to win that one and than The Heat and Celtics can kill each other for 7 games.
The Hawks and Magic is gonna be close I think. Magic win. But close. Should be Fun.
I think the Thunder(yes they beat the Spurs) may surprise the Lakers in the WCF and get to the finals.
Oh and all the anti NBA bullshit can be left at the door. Don't even bother to comment. Fans only please.
Derrick Rose says WHAT TIME IS IT? GAME TIME!
Playoffs are more exciting this year than they have been in a long time. Celtics-Knicks will be interesting, especially if Amare's ankle checks out and he's near 100%, Heat-76ers probably won't be much of a contest, same with Bulls-Pacers. Magic should have no trouble with Atlanta, Dwight Howard is too much for the Hawks. Spurs-Grizzlies could be interesting, they split the season series, with all 4 games being close. Lakers in 4 over NO, Dallas in 7, OKC in 6.
Hawks own the series 3-1 one so it could be a dog fight. Then agin the Hawks are the best AAU team on the planet and don't play a lick of team defense or team ball. Oh and Joe Johnson is a huge reason why the league will and is gonna get a new CBA.

Yeah, the Hawks have been "up and coming" for the last 4 years, I'm not sure they'll ever break through.
I agree to a point, I still wish the NBA still rocked the 5 game 1st round format
The finals will consist of one of the Bulls/Heat/Celtics vs one of the Lakers/Spurs. No need to watch until June.
The Thunder will beat the Spurs. Just a feeling I have.

Kevin Durant is an impressive player and will definitely be a difference maker, taking OKC past San Antonio.
No need to watch until June... unless you like basketball.
Ring #6

That is all...
Chicago beats the Lakers in Jackson's final season, ensuring his stretch with the Bulls is his best, and that MJ has more rings than Kobe. D. Rose with the dagger to stop the Laker 3peat.
.... but I take Blazers over the Mavs in 6. The Blazers have a gritty team that may just surprise some people.
The rest of the West,
San Antonio in 5
LA in 4
OKC in 6
It feels like most people are picking the Blazers with the Mavs playoff history.
I like that pick. Personally, I have never been a fan of Rick Carlisle as a playoff coach. I lived in Michigan during his Piston days and Indianapolis during his Pacer run and the complaints were all the same. Great regular season coach, mediocre at best in the playoffs.
In 5? Won't take that many.

WOOO!!! No more Pistons traffic!

wait... people actually went to pistons games this year?
Unfortunately. You should have seen the traffic when they retired Rodman's jersey.

I like the Thunder over the Heat in the Finals
The NHL playoffs are SOOOOOO much better.
THe players are classier and carry themselves with integritt(lol)y.
they aren't a bunch of thugs looking to improve their brand and don't play defense and all like rap music. Except Steve Nash, cause he is Canadian and is like a hockey player who enjoys shorts.
plus stanley cup > ball on leg.
P.S.
Only the last 10 seconds matter.
Go Wingz!
and I have a strong preference for white people.
A couple of thoughts:
- It would be nice if more people would try to keep their operative theories of racial superiority seperate from assessments of quality of play -- in any sport.
- It's not a coincidence that the group of people who say that defense doesn't get played in the NBA largely overlaps with the group of people who claim to have stopped watching pro basketball after the Bad Boys broke up. Watch a Celtics game sometime in the next week, and explain to me how any non-NBA team in the world plays better team defense.
Sarcasm detection fail. FML
Although there's some serious Poe's Law shit going on with people who strenuously hate the NBA.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6363434 The league is as popular as ever. MGB just hates.
