Holy crap. Someone tell my wife and kids.
I guess I need to learn how to be a fan too. I'm doing it wrong.
Also, if you can't have hope, then why bother?
November 18th, 2013 at 4:23 PM ^
You can hope all you want. I hope they never lose a game to anyone, but they do. There is a fine line of hoping they will win and just saying they're going to win with no logical reason.
November 18th, 2013 at 4:36 PM ^
I merely cited a precedent for a similar scenario (unranked 4 loss Michigan team, top 5 ranked OSU team), and said "never say die".
November 18th, 2013 at 6:57 PM ^
We started out the season #3 and had three players who made All-American.
We clobbered Minnesota 58-7 the week before. And three of our four losses were under a touchdown.
We also had Tyrone Wheatley, Amani Toomer and Mercury Hayes on offense and Ty Law on defense. That was a very talented team that ran into a rouch patch in the middle of the season.
I like to channel 1993 to give me some hope, but I don't see that same type of talent on our sidelines right now.
November 18th, 2013 at 7:05 PM ^
Amen.
November 18th, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
Will not dominate. They may win by 10 or 14, but they will not dominate. People can continue to believe Ohio is a top 5 team and in all reality they are not. Until Ohio sures up that defense, they wont be top 5. Indiana will score 30+ this week on them. I called the same thing with Illinois. This team has a weakness that Urban is trying to get off his staff at year end and it;s name is fickell. I know it may be cripple fight with him and Borges, but I believe Al has his number at least.
edit: Before someone tries to correct me. Ohio is top 5 in the polls, but only because of who their coach is and the fact they have beat up on 22 hapless opponents in a row. Urban is winning with a lot of tress players right now. He did the same at florida with zookers guys. Lets see how he does next year when he loses four of his five starting o-lineman and possibly Braxton Miller.
November 18th, 2013 at 4:50 PM ^
Nothing like your super balanced and awesome offense to really exploit the weakness.
November 18th, 2013 at 5:15 PM ^
Get out. Just get out.

November 18th, 2013 at 5:30 PM ^
Really, go troll elsewhere.
November 18th, 2013 at 5:33 PM ^
You're usually a pretty solid poster. Don't ruin it with bullshit like that.
November 18th, 2013 at 6:20 PM ^
they guy made a sarcastic response to a half-baked post about how his team is not all it's cracked up to be. do you feel dissed in your house now? Are you going to put on under armour and go protect it?
bjr's comment was pretty far from trolling, imo.
November 18th, 2013 at 9:16 PM ^
Did you see what I replied to? I don't say stuff like that when people are rational. Besides, I didn't even touch his edit which suggested Urban Meyer can't win football games without the aid of Jim Tressel's recruits.
November 19th, 2013 at 3:07 PM ^
were you somehow implying that our offense isn't balanced and awesome?
November 18th, 2013 at 5:33 PM ^
November 18th, 2013 at 9:12 PM ^
I don't think OSU can score 70 on Michigan's defense. I think a likely outcome is 30s/40s-20s.
November 19th, 2013 at 6:43 AM ^
20s?! Someone is either being overly polite or hasn't been doing their homework.
November 18th, 2013 at 5:41 PM ^
We're so sad this year, I can't argue with you.
November 18th, 2013 at 6:20 PM ^
Look at how Michigan handled Penn State and Northwestern (ugly OT loss and ugly OT win). Now look at what Ohio did to the same opponents. Now you do the math. It's not complicated. On paper Ohio is a way better football team right now.
Hopeful for a UM upset I totally get that. I'm even with you.
But delusional, wishful thinking against all the evidence, that's just being intentionally annoying.
November 18th, 2013 at 6:22 PM ^
the outcomes on the field also suggest osu is a much better football team than Michigan right now.
November 18th, 2013 at 7:24 PM ^
Unfortunately, Notre Dame beat State, and Minnesota beat Penn State. What did this mean for us? Nothing.
November 18th, 2013 at 8:26 PM ^
And where would you think Michigan should be ranked if they'd reeled off 22 wins in a row? Like him or not, Urb is a damned good coach who has won everywhere he's gone. And if you hadn't noticed, he's hauled in some top-rated recruits since he arrived at OSU. They're good now and will continue to be good. Get used to it.

Maybe when it becomes so common that not changing uniforms is the news?
IMO - it is one step away from minor league jerseys or NASCAR uniforms covered in ads. These jerseys are just one big ad for a shoe company.

Get in your corner.
November 18th, 2013 at 8:30 PM ^
One look at your avatar should make it quite obvious why they shouldn't mess with the Michigan football uniforms. Ever. Seriously, take a look at Amani there and tell me how that look could improve.

All white for a white wash. Nice touch.
November 18th, 2013 at 2:51 PM ^
Can't argue bro. But have you seen a lot of the comments about this game from your OWN fan base. They are feeling the same way. I'm just adding some humour to the situation.
November 18th, 2013 at 4:02 PM ^
Anything can happen in this rivalry.
November 18th, 2013 at 8:33 PM ^
Are you Canadian or perhaps British? Anyway, we also like humor; next time, try to actually provide some.
November 18th, 2013 at 2:33 PM ^
If any Urban Meyer-coached team is virginal, I'm Woody Hayes.
November 18th, 2013 at 2:39 PM ^
We look like a goddamn Christmas ornament, not a football team.
November 18th, 2013 at 2:54 PM ^
Even those look better.

November 18th, 2013 at 3:41 PM ^
Yes, we do. Perhaps Michigan can put in the contract, "Only we can design alternate jerseys and we decide when they're worn."
November 18th, 2013 at 4:42 PM ^
Hate to pop your bubble but someone in the AD is approving these designs. Its not like the Adidas designers have carte blanche to do whatever they want. Thats.What.Makes.It.Worse.

I believe that there was some buzz about the potential for these uniforms as early as September, but I think this might be the first real image that has been released of the uniforms. As I recall, the buzz from a few people on Eleven Warriors was that they were sort of growing tired of switching uniforms for the Michigan game, wanting instead to do something like this for a high-end night game earlier in the season. Oh well, I suppose.
November 18th, 2013 at 2:52 PM ^
I really hope they all tuck their jerseys in that much.
November 18th, 2013 at 2:56 PM ^
I've never liked uniformz but the thing that I hate the most about them is that we always seem to bring them out for big games (ND, Alabama, MSU, bowl games). If you wanna do it to spice up Michigan - Air Force or Michigan - Minnesota, I get it. But it sucks that every time we're on a national stage we can't wear our traditional uniforms which also happen to be our nicest looking uniforms.
Sucks for OSU to wear alternate uniforms for the game although at least these aren't as ugly as some of the stuff they've worn the last few years (the combat uniforms for example).
