OSU Football has Covid
Rather reliable local source.
Cheers
[Ed-Seth UPDATE: reported]
Can confirm earlier report by @davebiddle. Sources told The Blade that multiple Ohio State players have tested positive for COVID-19. The positive tests involve multiple position groups. A decision on Saturday's game at Illinois will be made Thursday.

The Welp Dog says it all...or types it all.

I'll be very surprised if the CF season isn't eventually cancelled especially after Covid is expected to blow completely up after the travelling and family gatherings on Thanksgiving. Just scratch 2020 and move on to the 2021 season.
November 26th, 2020 at 2:12 PM ^
Disagree, we are 75% through the season and players are not traveling home for the holidays. So their exposure isn’t changing.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:27 PM ^
What a shame
November 25th, 2020 at 10:10 PM ^
It is...it happened the wrong week.
November 25th, 2020 at 10:37 PM ^
What if COVID rips through our team the laser [edit:last] week, thereby preventing OSU from getting their six games? That would be a weird way of ruining their season.
November 25th, 2020 at 11:08 PM ^
+1 for use of “laser”
November 26th, 2020 at 4:05 AM ^
I don't get it :(
November 26th, 2020 at 8:53 AM ^
Because you wear a mask.
November 26th, 2020 at 12:02 AM ^
By any means necessary
November 25th, 2020 at 7:28 PM ^
They got it two weeks too soon
November 25th, 2020 at 7:33 PM ^
Why? Any given positive player has to be out for three weeks. The season is over for whomever has it. The Michigan game is only 17 days away.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:39 PM ^
The 21 day requirement is null and void if you play Michigan. See: Mertz, Graham.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:47 PM ^
Did they say he officially hit that and he could playon day 21? Not saying it’s right, but they certainly couldn’t claim that here.
November 25th, 2020 at 8:10 PM ^
The B1G is playing C(ovid)heckers, while osu plays C(ovid)hess. Sitting out two games so they can be fresh to annihilate their rivals and coast to the B1G championship and playoff is classic osu flouting of the rules to their advantage. In fact, this type of thing is becoming an annual tradition (see perfect timing with suspensions just after penn state and right before Rutgers and Maryland, full strength for UM game).
Admittedly, this is a completely speculative conspiracy theory. But, does osu deserve the benefit of the doubt?
November 26th, 2020 at 10:46 AM ^
Another reminder that Mertz and Wisc played their first game of the season on Friday, Oct 23rd. He did fulfill the 21 day requirement when they played Mich.
November 26th, 2020 at 9:27 PM ^
The 21 days isn’t from when he played, it’s from when he tested positive.
November 26th, 2020 at 9:27 PM ^
Twice as nice.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:28 PM ^
I'll believe it when I hear it from SirYacht

?The Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria!?

I'll do you in the bottom while you're drinkin' sangria
November 26th, 2020 at 12:01 PM ^
"...I produce a quart".
November 25th, 2020 at 7:47 PM ^
Yoder and Gregg Henson have to confirm it as well.
November 26th, 2020 at 11:29 AM ^
Any relation to Lil Yachty?
November 26th, 2020 at 8:02 PM ^
Would that be any relation to Raymond Luxury Yacht (or Raymond Luxury Yatched, also known as Throatwobbler Mangrove)?

Tai, I've been lighter on the board of late, it's good to see you around. Keep at it.
(In fairness, the OP isn't just a rando, he has provided some pretty accurate insider stuff here).
November 25th, 2020 at 7:42 PM ^
Insiders say they all got it by using the same cooler.
edit: correction, that was crabs
November 25th, 2020 at 9:25 PM ^
OSU probably snorted lines of Covid last week so they can be nice and healthy for the UM game.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:37 PM ^
Can’t believe it may be almost 2 years between normal football seasons when this is largely over
November 25th, 2020 at 8:20 PM ^
By my estimation it's been 14 years and counting since the last normal football season.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:37 PM ^
The buckeye fan melt down will be epic. What a shame.....
November 25th, 2020 at 10:13 PM ^
they wouldn't qualify for the big ten championship with only four games, is that right?
November 25th, 2020 at 10:39 PM ^
Correct. 6 games played required.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:38 PM ^
Bitches.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:44 PM ^
If true and OSU needs to play the Michigan game in order to qualify for the CFB, I am all for Harbaugh faking a COVID outbreak to fuck them over...
November 25th, 2020 at 7:50 PM ^
A giant ? on his way out. Lol.
actually..would it be possible for us to win the division at 4-3? Probably not because of Indiana, right?
November 25th, 2020 at 8:11 PM ^
Winning the division under any circumstances this year would deserve the biggest, boldest asterisk in history.
November 25th, 2020 at 10:07 PM ^
Are you kidding?, Harbaugh still thinks he has the best team in the B1G. Thinks he taking down OSU by three touchdowns.
November 26th, 2020 at 2:10 AM ^
And he can't decide whether Milton or McNamara should start...
November 26th, 2020 at 12:07 AM ^
OSU will finish 5-0 and miss the B1G title game but still get invited to Playoffs.
Northwestern wins the conference and then gets the Motor City Bowl.
November 26th, 2020 at 4:16 PM ^
No person of conscience could oppose this plan
November 25th, 2020 at 7:45 PM ^
How could we, or anyone, ever have seen this coming? Shocking. Just shocking.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:46 PM ^
Uh oh, time to fire Ryan Day!
November 25th, 2020 at 7:49 PM ^
The big ten will change the rules just for them. They don’t want Northwestern in the playoffs.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:56 PM ^
Fitz wants Bama! Can you imagine?
November 27th, 2020 at 1:41 PM ^
The big ten doesn’t have to worry about northwestern making the playoff
November 25th, 2020 at 7:52 PM ^
Well they will probably be healthy by the Michigan, game but hopefully they miss the next two games and can’t play for the Big Ten title.
Edit: this game will be played. The Big Ten will not let their cash cow not make the playoffs.
November 25th, 2020 at 7:54 PM ^
Who are we kidding. They are SEC north. They will play football at all costs. I expect protests from their player parents AGAIN if game is cancelled.
Whatever.
