My wife told me we should go for my 40th since we didn't get to celebrate last year. I knew the prices were high, scoffed at the idea but fuck... I might have to seriously consider this.
December 18th, 2021 at 8:30 AM ^
40th what?
December 18th, 2021 at 12:16 AM ^
Shhhh. Don't tell everyone. I'm silently waiting for them to drop more, but now they might not with the cat out of the bag.

Same. MODS PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD.
/s, but not really

Everyone can see everything. All of us that might be able to go are checking these sites every couple hours.

The kicker is the number of tix listed is increasing. It was 4800 on Wed. Today it is over 6100. So supply / demand has not reached equilibrium yet.
we are going to wait it out. We have airline & hotel.
December 19th, 2021 at 2:23 PM ^
I believe this is exactly what was predicted in Ticket Watch.
December 18th, 2021 at 12:20 AM ^
Got some tix but the kicker is hotels. Sheesh
December 18th, 2021 at 12:29 AM ^
Look for a campground and tent it?
December 18th, 2021 at 12:42 AM ^
You’re onto something
December 18th, 2021 at 1:09 AM ^
Camp out in the Everglades. You might have to fight off an alligator or three but at least you'll get a workout.
December 18th, 2021 at 1:16 AM ^
Gators are one thing, but the mosquitoes here are the spawn of Satan himself. Camp at your peril
December 18th, 2021 at 7:20 AM ^
Let's not even mention the giant pythons.
December 18th, 2021 at 8:48 AM ^
Fully enclosed tent solves all your problems. And they're really only bad at dawn and dusk.
December 18th, 2021 at 7:52 AM ^
Florida is such a strange place. I've been there many times, but the fact that there are alligators just out and about is something I have never been able to get used to. I remember golfing one time and coming up on the green and there was just a big old gator sitting there enjoying the day. He was off in the far corner of the green so I said alright and played through, missed the putt because I was too concerned with this dinosaur coming after me, and got back in the cart and rolled off thinking this is the strangest state.
And then the snakes.....
December 18th, 2021 at 8:32 AM ^
Gators ain’t shit. 6-6 overall; 2-6 in conference.
December 18th, 2021 at 9:14 AM ^
Consider going west. I'm serious.
There will be lots of driving involved, but I'm staying in the SW (Naples / Fort Myers). I wouldn't say the prices are great, but they're better than the ones on the Atlantic side.
December 18th, 2021 at 12:29 AM ^
Plot twist-OP is a seller and is trying to pump the prices back up
December 18th, 2021 at 7:09 AM ^
You've got to Pump it up,
Don't you know Pump it up
December 18th, 2021 at 1:37 AM ^
I wonder how much these tickets costed when the investors all bought them up.
December 18th, 2021 at 1:48 AM ^
Back in July you could have gotten some nice seats for 300 to 400 dollars. These same tickets on the first level are being sold from 5 to 7 thousand a ticket. It's a nice return, looks like most were purchased in CA and NY, probably investors.
December 18th, 2021 at 8:06 AM ^
GameStop 2.0
December 18th, 2021 at 9:05 AM ^
"Costed"?
December 18th, 2021 at 10:14 AM ^
How much he “payed”
December 19th, 2021 at 8:55 AM ^
You mean how much he paided.
December 18th, 2021 at 2:38 AM ^
Here's my plan:
Put a big dish of lasagna in the oven, just before the game starts, have it be ready at halftime so we won't be distracted by the food thing during game action, Caesar's Salad too.
During the game, sit in my recliner very comfortably next to my GF.
Not pay thousands of dollars for plane tickets game tickets, hotel rooms, etc.
Watch Michigan beat the crap out of an overrated Georgia team that really didn't play anyone with an offense worth anything till Bama and when they did they got roll tide rolled over.
So Go Blue and if you're going to the game, have fun, make noise and root like hell!
December 18th, 2021 at 5:02 AM ^
Backed ziti.
that is all
December 18th, 2021 at 9:00 AM ^
Disgusting! I had some bad back acne in the past, so I know a thing or two about backed zits
December 18th, 2021 at 6:02 AM ^
I love your plan but you'll be eating a really late dinner.
December 18th, 2021 at 6:58 AM ^
If San Diego Mick is actually in San Diego, halftime will be around 6 or 7 pm, PST.
So they'll be fine.
December 18th, 2021 at 11:57 AM ^
In the third person, ahem....Mick is in fact in San Diego for 30+ years now.
Go Blue!
December 18th, 2021 at 12:09 PM ^
Gotta love that Pacific time zone for a game like this; enjoy and Hail to the Victors!
December 18th, 2021 at 7:30 AM ^
This but chicken broccoli bake.
December 18th, 2021 at 8:16 AM ^
I am going more of a S. Florida themed spread for the game. Grilled red snapper with a homemade mango chutney. Some seared scallops and for the non seafood lovers in the group I will be smoking a prime rib for the day.
Go Blue!!!!
December 18th, 2021 at 11:57 AM ^
I am hungry for your food and want to come to your party. I will bring some Jordan Chardonnay.
December 18th, 2021 at 8:09 AM ^
December 18th, 2021 at 8:14 AM ^
I'm one of the ones who paid $800+ for my ticket when the game was announced. But that's OK. I'm 72 years old, retired and who knows if I will get another chance to see my Alma mater with a chance to play for the national championship. Go Blue!
December 18th, 2021 at 8:22 AM ^
Sounds great but the fanatic in me will probably be the guy that loads up my am ex card. I just placed an order yesterday from snake river farms for some extremely overpriced tomahawk ribeyes that I plan to eat in celebration of an early halftime ass kicking. After seeing this thread I’m trying to figure out how to fly out of Detroit and get picked up in Cincinnati to save hundreds on airfare. I have close to 600,000 Hilton points so I’m not concerned about hotels. Haven’t even priced rental cars yet.
December 18th, 2021 at 11:22 AM ^
Baller. That Hilton point stash is worth at least $300.
December 18th, 2021 at 11:36 AM ^
Nice plan. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I’ll be following your plan even though I live in northern Florida (30 minutes north of Daytona).
Ever been to a Michigan bowl game? Only our last Peach Bowl outing in Atlanta for me. Took my son (big M fan, went to Miami of Ohio, now at Texas Tech for residency) and we had a great time. Lots of M fans at the restaurants, pubs, etc. to talk with and enjoy. If you got the guts to buy tickets the day of the game, you can get something reasonably priced ($200 a ticket or so). It’s only money, and you can’t take it with you!? Go Blue!
December 18th, 2021 at 12:04 PM ^
I have been to 2 Michigan Bowl Games.
1994 Holiday Bowl where we beat Colorado St. 24-14
1998 Rose Bowl when we beat WSU 21-16.
Great times indeed!
December 19th, 2021 at 5:29 PM ^
I was there in 1998 with my brother. Once of the very very best days/nights of my life. The Woodson interception lives vividly in my memory to this day.
December 18th, 2021 at 6:59 AM ^
We bought ours a couple of days ago at $475 a piece. I figured they weren’t going to get much lower than that. Guess I was wrong but oh well. It beat having to buy at $700 a pop.
December 18th, 2021 at 7:22 AM ^
Man I wanna go so bad but just can’t stomach the return trip if we lose to a team who’s fanbase prides themselves on their ability to turn two single wide trailers into a ranch deluxe. I still remember driving back after losing to South Carolina. In all seriousness though Georgia residents are good people. My ex’s family lives in Valdosta and really enjoyed going to Georgia, even though July and August felt like the waiting room to the gates of hell.
December 18th, 2021 at 9:10 AM ^
I live in Georgia..My Best Friend is Law enforcement and a HUGE UGA fan and connected somewhat to the program...This was our worst case scenario/best cases scenario UGA vs Michigan...Yesterday we had breakfast together and we walked in him in his UGA gear me in My Michigan gear and boy the looks we got...lol..We are contemplating going not sure yet but I got the FFY miles and prices are dropping both ticket and hotel so it looks promising
December 18th, 2021 at 7:34 AM ^
With how covid is impacting sports right now and it’s only going to get worse, I’d wait a bit before pulling the trigger. Might keep going down or there might not be fans at all.
December 18th, 2021 at 7:42 AM ^
96 strikes again. Such a positive gander.
December 18th, 2021 at 8:28 AM ^
Maybe the cardboard cutouts of ourselves can sit together at that the game.
