Orange Bowl Open Thread

Tajh Boyd vs Braxton Miller.  Lots of offense expected.

Let's hope Clemson's offense shows up for their bowl game this year.

Line: OSU -2.5

Over/Under: 71.5

Edit:

2014 Orange Bowl final score

Clemson: 40

Ohio:  35

Big night for Clemson offense

Sammy Watkins. 16 receptions for 227 yards (an Orange Bowl and Clemson record) and two touchdowns. What a beast!

Tajh Boyd also set an Orange Bowl record with 486 total yards.

I heard this was the first time Ohio lost when they score 35+ points.  (insert sad panda here)

Urbz won every game in the last two years except for the last two.  So, those rings he made up last year are even more special, as that's about all they have to show for it.

God bless you 2014...so far! Love this! Screw "conference prestige". OSU has to sit all offseason with 2 losses in a row sitting in their heads. I'll take that. Huge winning streak and no big wins to show for it.

I'm going to say it: reading many of these posts make me think we really have assumed the mantle of Little Brother. Not going to call out individual users but I really think some of these posts are an example of the pot calling the kettle black.

I mean seriously yeah OSU lost but we also lost our bowl game but ours was to a middling Big 12 school. It's not like many of us feel at this moment that we are going to turn a corner and have a great year going forward. We are in the middle of the Big Ten which is a pretty terrible conference. Yet we are reveling in our rival losing a closely contested game.

Just my opinion of course.

In that we disagree. I think we just aren't in a position to criticize other programs at the moment. On the flipside I am willing to admit I may be a bit too negative on our team sometimes. Things are never as bad or good as they seem.

I'm also not expressing this opinion so that at some point in the future I can use the Little Brother meme. I love Mike Hart but I wish he had never uttered that phrase as it seems to have bit us in the butt far too many times over the years. Of course sometimes MSU fans warrant the moniker but that is precisely why I stated my opinion: I'd like to think we care more about our team's success rather than a rival's issues.

You're entitled to your opinion of course.

I turned on the Orange Bowl late and saw one of the announcers telestrating the Gatorade on the bench and talking about how "awesome Gatorade was and how much he loved to drink it."  I was thinking to myself "who the hell is this douchebag and how did he get on TV?"

Then they showed it was Matt Millen and it all made sense.
