I've always wanted to suggest having a section of the site that tracks our former basketball players and their exploits either in the US or overseas. Maybe we can use this as a base and create a section once we move to the wiki format this summer.

So I've honestly been dreaming of Irvin being able to perform at the 4 so we could move GRIII to 3. Is it unlikely he'd be able to use his length there, or do we not want to move GRIII from a position he had for a year? I honestly would love to see him in his more natural 3 spot.

If Michigan State is in the Finals on Sunday, you can bet I will not be wearing green.
Needless to say, if Michigan is playing, it's all maize and blue for me.
But when Michigan State isn't playing in a high-profile game, green may sneak into my wardrobe.

We had a ton of chances. Indiana didn't play their best game. Turns out they didn't have to.

A high school buddy of mine tipped me off about it shortly after The Horror. I finally committed and made a user account when before the 2009-10 basketball season.
Michigan and my roommate's team UNC were ranked in the top 25 preseason. We made a bet about who would go further in the NCAA Tournament and I wanted the MGoCommunity's opinion of whether I made a good bet. As many may remember, we didn't make it to the tournament that year, and I apologize for jinxing the team. Luckily me for, UNC didn't either, causing that bet to result in an unlikely draw.

TWIT works for you - but honestly, I'd read most anything you write. As others above have stated, you are funny and have a great tone when you write. It'll keep me interested.
Also, doing a Twitter column means you'll never be light on content. Some opined that the FP was struggling due to a sub-stellar football season, a dreadful hockey season, and a basketball season that seems to not be as AMAZING as we had hoped. No matter how "dull" the state of Michigan sports is, people will always be twittering.

I'm surprised, but classy post-game remarks from Coach Izzo.

But as Ace and Brian have mentioned, KenPom does have them far and away the best performing team, statistically speaking. Since the KenPom data was used to construct these percentages, it's not incredibly surprising.

5-9 would have been good enough to make the playoffs in your league??? How many teams make the postseason?

No one ever cares about anyone else's fantasy team. It's like talking about a grocery list. That being said...

It's not as if he wasn't aware of the rules. By agreeing to participate, he agrees to comply with all team and athletic department rules as well. Whatever the merit of the rule, it was a rule he agreed to follow. Pledging one thing and doing another is a real issue.

But having one weak point does allow an offense to key on and attack that point, as Alabama did almost immediately when Countess went out.

The Jets are used to having unconventional QBs. They could potentially use him in a fashion similar to how they used Brad Smith a couple years ago. Minus the kick returns, of course.

From what I understand, the issue is two-fold.
First, the bounty program awarded monetary prizes to players for making certain plays, including knocking an opposing player out of the game. These monetary rewards were outside of contract incentives, and thus in violation of the CBA.
Second, and possibly more important, was the incentives given to injure the other team. The NFL is on a safety kick, and this is exactly the kind of behavior they want to combat. Encouraging and rewarding excessive violence is probably why the NFL came down so hard.

|1 year 12 weeks ago||Wonderful||
I think this is a great idea. I am personally in favor of the sliding scale model, starting at 95% and decreasing until it hits 75%. As far as class size goes, 3 revenue sports + 1 non-revenue per year seems reasonable. Inagural class size should be 21 revenue and 7 non-revenue max, matching the number eligible for each year the blog has been active prior to now.
The question is, would the entire career of a player have to fall within the existence of the blog in order to be eligible?
