NYTimes on Hoke
The New York Times has a nice nearly half page article on Hoke this morning: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/10/sports/ncaafootball/on-brady-hokes-lo…;
More personal than football and no real new ground covered, but nice nevertheless.

Hoke may not be sexy, but you really have to appreciate the amount of love and dedication he has for the program.

Talk about stress. You'd never know by watching the man that he has a father who is very near death, all the while he's in the pressure vacuum at M. I'm not slobbering over him, but he seems to be nothing less than extraordinary. Good luck coach.

Brady Hoke was built to coach Michigan

I think he looks more like he was built to play D-line.

I thought my wife loved Hoke after she repeatedly hit my arm and got teary-eyed during the first press conference ... if she reads this, she might fly into a rage the next time she hears any media criticism of him, ever.

I would also expect to be puttign toothpaste on her toothbrush every night, too.

I missed the original post and just heard about this article today. Is anyone else not surprised to learn that Coach Hoke wanted to be in the Secret Service? I'm sure he has more than casual admiration for the SEALs he's brought in to speak to the team.
I'm sorry but the idea of Hoke working in a brake factory and all the Matt Foley jokes made me think of this scene at 0:20.
