I know this is random but I always notice Harbaugh has a huge wad of chaw in his mouth during games. Isn't there some kind of penalty for that? I remember somebody getting penalized in recent years for having tobacco on the sidelines. Tim Beckman, maybe?
I'm currently spending $40 for internet, $35 for Vue, and $10 for Netflix. So around $85 for Internet/TV. Before cutting the cable, my bill had spiked to around $140 a month, so I'm happy to save a few bucks.
I'll throw in another vote for PS Vue. However, to those who are thinking about it, please note that ABC, NBC, and FOX are listed on the available channels BUT they are only On Demand channels. They are not live. So if you have a football game being shown on ABC, you won't be able to watch it as it happens.
In that case, you'll have to log on to the ESPN website with the Vue account and watch from there or hook your laptop up with a trusty ol' HDMI cable...or just buy a TV antenna to get local channels.
That's not the point I'm trying to make. I'm saying its a stupid question. In other words, even if a coach didn't plan on staying somewhere for life, there is no way he can admit it. So it's pointless to ask in the first place.
Of course I'm hopeful that he stays that long but what coach hasn't said that? Imagine someone saying "Well, I'd love to stay here a good 4-5 years, then see what opens up".
I preordered Endzone and thought it was amazing. I couldn't put it down. It's funny you mention this topic because I literally bought and began reading Three and Out just yesterday. I just couldn't bear to read it when it was first released. I'm finding it equally as fascinating as Endzone.
Okay, so your story involving things dropping on heads reminded me:
It didn't happen to me, but during our middle school days, I was over at my childhood's friend's house and we were walking down the hallway to go outside. The freaking attic door/ladder fell down right on top of my friend's head as he walked behind me. Split his head open and he had to get a bunch of stitches. I remember his parents saying the doctor told them he was very lucky it wasn't worse.
That was years ago and I still remember it vividly. I remember the sudden scare of the noise, the cold feeling of seeing my friend just laying there, and the realization that a split second of difference meant that it could have fallen on me.
Seconded. SC native here. If people aren't just driving horribly because we're stupid, then they are driving to avoid nonstop potholes and road hazards. Worst drivers in America + worst roads in America = death by automobile.
Carolina is going to be looking for someone who can come in and out-recruit other coaches. That's been the problem for USC; they have average classes with a big-time recruit sprinkled in every couple of years (Lattimore, Clowney). We all know Dantonio is able to develop his guys but I really think Carolina is going to want a younger, energetic coach who can compete with Clemson on the recruiting trail.
Good call. I didn't really consider that. I think the difference for me is the reaction to walkers. The Walking Dead pilot was great because you could see the horror from Rick's perspective. It felt so unsafe. I won't spoil the FTWD pilot for others, but that last scene was really rough. You are probably right though; it'll get better.
"Meh" was my reaction as well. The acting was BAD, especially in the final act of the pilot. It's only one episode and I'm hoping it turns out to be good, but I just wasn't feeling it.
I honestly loved the 2011 Minnesota game. It wasn't anything spectacular but it was such a satisfying win. Beating them 58-0 just felt...normal. I miss that.
As an SC native, no. First, he's an average coach; he does hire great assistants, though. Second, he wouldn't take the job. He loves Clemson and I'm not sure he would leave for any school other than Alabama. Third, he wouldn't fit at Michigan. It would be worse than Rodriguez's experience. Swinney is a "good ol' boy" and would get run out of Ann Arbor.
I live in Williamston, about twenty minutes from Greenville. My wife graduated from USC last year, so I was in the Cola area pretty frequently. I occassionally run into Michigan fans here when there is a big game, but thats about it.
I'd pay $10 to watch the Final Four on an old television set if it meant I was surrounded by fellow Michigan fans. I live in South Carolina, so watching Michigan atheletics with fellow fans is not something I take for granted.
I don't have much to say, other than we have a new nominee for greatest name in college football recruiting. The University of Tulsa has just gained a committment from a 3-star CB named Will Barrow...as in, wheelbarrow. Seriously.
I officially dislike the legend jerseys. I was okay with Hemingway and the Howard jersey last year. But this is too much. Like others have said, if we are going to make a big deal out of bringing numbers out of retirement, then it needs to actually be a big deal. No offense to anyone on our team, but these jerseys simply haven't been earned yet. I'm very disappointed in this new "tradition".
Perhaps I took it the wrong way. I certainly took it as an insult to the entire South. If that wasn't your intention, I'll gladly apologize for misinterpreting. I wasn't intentionally twisting your words. I don't listen to Finebaum so I'm not familiar with his typical callers.
If you judged an entire region based on radio callers, you could insult anyone. I hope I never sit beside you in the Big House during my annual trip; I would hate to bother you with my awful Southern drone while I cheer on our boys.
...and although I can't stand the University, I can admit the campus is wonderful. It's the perfect campus for recruits who are looking for an extremely close-knit community. The fanbase can be annoying to non-fans but they make their players feel loved and welcomed. I can understand why recruits are interested in going there despite their embarrassing tradition of choking each year.
My fiancé went to Charleston Southern but transferred to U. of South Carolina. Charleston and Columbia are both hot. Oh, and hi. I love you. Wait, too much?
I just can't handle anything on that station. The producer, Ramona, makes that show unbearable. I do appreciate Walt's unbiased approach to the show but he spends more time talking about his knowledge of sports than anything else. I started using the TunedIn radio app on my phone for sports talk in the car.
As far as 'Bama goes, I'm fearful for our receivers. If we can't get a running game going, we'll be relying on small receivers and unproven freshmen; that scares me. I'm hoping Denard and Fitz find a way to tear it up on the ground.
As a fellow Upstate South Carolinian, I'm still trying to figure out how you were able to listen to Walt Deptula or anything for that matter on WCCP. That has to be the worst station in radio history.
You honestly don't remember the story behind "Tom Gholston"? One of my favorite UM/MSU stories.
A thread like this takes guts...and speaking of guts, I'll go with zombies. Easy choice.
TREMENDOUS video. And I know "Seven Nation Army" is played out but that pseudo-dubstep remix is sick.
That was the first time I've seen the impression video. I was already smiling and then when he did the "walk", I was laughing hysterically. Pipkins is automatically my favorite future Wolverine.
Hey now, dont poke fun at Iowa's graduate studies...

I have Internet through Charter. I don't know if prices change based on location, but I live in South Carolina.
I'm currently
Yes, you do.

To sum up the answer to your question, yes and no.
You have a couple of options. You can download the PS Vue app for use on tablet/phone.
You can also log on to ESPN or BTN from your browser by using your PS Vue account and watch from there.
So, although you can't pull up channels from the PlayStation website, you can use your Vue account to log on to ESPN and BTN. Hope that helps.

then go with a bad Cal team,
followed by Domers.
But
But strawberry? How dare you,
That junk should be blue.
But I won't do
But I won't do a haiku.
So just...ah, dang it.
