OT - Offseason Haiku Thread

Submitted by Butterfield on

At my desk, bored, and can't wait for the season to get closer.  I always love the creativity that these haiku threads generate so I figured why not start a haiku thread about how long/boring the offseason is.  I'm not so good at this type of thing, but I suppose as a thread starter I can try to break the ice:

Hoke's early commits,

Fun in February and March,

Lead to long June days

This one is dedicated to offseason threads:

One more BR thread

Cool story bro, not really

Recruits rolling in

As for my wait until September:

I see the iPad

Only June, too long for me

Dallas, so far off.

Yes, we know, we know

"Return to Glory starts NOW"

I've heard that before

"This year is different;

we have Te'o. He's real good"

I've heard that one, too

Always one away:

One player, coach, or good bounce

Bad news; Knute's still dead

It weren't Weis or Ty,

Bob, Claussen, or Tenuta

At some point, it's you.

We must not accept this butchering of the haiku form.  An extra "on" is added to the words ending in "n," and those with doubled consonants. The double vowel in Laquon also counts as two.  You have given us a 6-9-7, not a 5-7-5.  Get out.

Not a Buckeye pledge?

Your offer then clearly was

Non-commitable.
