7:30 on ABC

This will be interesting. Is FSU improved from last year or does Notre Dame take them down in Tallahassee?

The Michigan Marching Band has a plethora of stand tunes that get played at different specific times.  For example, when we force a punt, they play ‘Temptation.’  First downs are usually ‘Let’s Go Blue,’ and random moments could include something like Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect.’

But Florida State’s band?  They play that damn Braves tune after every single play, offense or defense, gaining yards, losing yards, penalties.  Ear cancer.  I’m surprised they don’t play it after touchdowns.

ND has a good D, but there's a reason why Coan is no longer at UW.

EDIT: Yet he's playing great. Not sure one of the comments I've made thus far has worn well.

I’m a bit surprised that Kelly took Coan as QB. Kelly prefers dual threats or scramblers usually, and Coan always struck me as a pocket passer more or less.

turned out to be a better game than I thought it was going to be actually...

don't like either team, but its cool to see two big name programs early in the season...

It's amazing that just a few years back we seemed ahead of Notre Dame, on the field and in recruiting. Or at least on par. They have developed players so much better, they seem to have a clear identity. Their skill players do so much more. We're outclassed by them. Blech. They're not close to bama, but it's kinda sad how far we are from nd. They're also always competitive and win tight games. We all think Kelly is a prick, but he wins and he evolves as a coach. Perhaps our coach's biggest shortcoming.
