Illinois' new uniforms make them look like Orgeon State.

You missed a great opportunity to Chart? Chart.

We are sure that Zook isn't pulling the strings still at Illinois, right? These guys still derp with the best of them.

That is clearly a pick for Iowa. Nice job to take it right out of the receiver's hands.
September 29th, 2012 at 12:18 PM ^
Apparently a bad call by the refs will only get reviewed and overturned in Iowa City if it benefits the Hawkeyes. Never the other way around.

How did the one Minnesota guy not get the memo to get away from the ball? And how did the refs miss that touch? I think he was pushed into the ball so it doesn't matter, but come on.
And now they change what the ruling on the field was after the review? LOL WUT

I tuned in to "How the States Got Their Shapes." More entertaining than the B1G games so far.

....and by fast, I mean that, just like that, it was a 3rd and 15 situation.
September 29th, 2012 at 12:57 PM ^
Iowa looking like a team that could be trouble.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:01 PM ^
Or Minnesota is actually being exposed against average competition, remember this is the same Hawkeye team that lost to a directional Michigan last week.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:02 PM ^
If we gameplan correctly, unlike last year, Iowa should no be a problem. This is more of Minn getting exposed because of mediocre competition and a lack of Marquis Grey. I'm still more worried about Minn this year.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:11 PM ^
No they aren't.
Any team looks like trouble when they play Minnesota.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:07 PM ^
As they are mentioning, he is supposedly getting better managing the Penn State offense, but it is very hard to manage an offense while running 20 yards in the wrong direction.
...and their Ficken troubles with field goals continue. 47 yards, no good.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:08 PM ^
Now that was a succesful play action bootleg
September 29th, 2012 at 1:09 PM ^
So Minn defense just not good
September 29th, 2012 at 1:09 PM ^
Oops Indiana. Oops Minnesota. Oops Illinois.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:14 PM ^
I'm looking good on my 2 12:00 picks giving away the points by taking Iowa and Penn State. These games, however, are not looking good. I haven't watched a lot of the Illinois game. Why are they so bad at run defense?
September 29th, 2012 at 1:14 PM ^
A second string walk-on fullback currently leads the B1G in rushing touchdowns this season. Yup, the conference is down this year.

Beckman looked incredulous on the sideline, but when your OL is getting exactly zero push, you basically need to get first downs straight up unfortunately.
Also, Illinois clearly just doesn't want to defend against the run. Obviously, they have to eventually run into the guy who is supposed to close the A gap, right?

several angles, clear that he stopped moving before the collision from later angles.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:24 PM ^
I'm starting to love Bubba Watson with his Happy Gilmore 1st tee shot....
September 29th, 2012 at 1:27 PM ^
Is anyone else watching WV and Baylor? I know this doesn't affect us at all, but the B1G games are completely one-sided. This is kind of like watching our 2010 Illinois game, except fun because your own team is not involved. These teams are actually going to hit the over on their point spread somehow.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:29 PM ^
this is far more entertaining than watching Illinois/Minnesota implode.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:39 PM ^
I have on. Basketball on grass, crowd is into it, B1G games are blowouts...This is much better to watch.
September 29th, 2012 at 1:28 PM ^
Eventually, they are going to lose some interest and the call will become a monotone, "Scheelhaase....forced out of pocket....picks up a few...."
September 29th, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
I love the 2 offense's the WVU has used over the years...Run heavy kill ya on the ground with RR and now Pass heavy kill you in the air with Dana.
But one thing for sure in the big 12 Defense is optional...
September 29th, 2012 at 1:33 PM ^
Is this the anti-Zook? Tim Beckman will keep the offense out there on 4th and 9?
...and while this was conventionally a punting situation and probably not a good idea technically, Scheelhaase connects for a 1st down.

Its not like they are covering anyone anyway, might as well send some extra guys at the QB
