No doubt the B1G is the best basketball conference
What a championship game. Both MSU and OSU playing like 1 seeds, and then you have teams like Michigan (who managed to beat both) and Indiana (who beat both plus Kentucky) who are also great teams.
I expect 1 or 2 B1G teams to make a deep run in the tourney.
What separates these two teams playing and us is size. Thank god for our incoming class.
can't wait til we can play more than 6.5 players...
OSU actually doesnt have that great of depth, it's better than ours, but still not tha great.
I'm still looking forward to a strong run in the next few weeks. But thinking of a starting lineup of Burke, THJ, GR3, Mitch, and Jordan is just so exciting. Three guys over 6'6" will be wonderful, and moving Tim to SG makes him an incredibly tough matcup for all other schools.
For now, let's hope Zack, Stu, and Co. can give us one last run of excitement to a season that has already outdone all expectations and more. GO BLUE.
i doubt Zack will do that, cause he did not show any leadership for the past 2 games. All the diving to the ball and shooting quick 3s were all frustration. I wonder what's wrong with him.
plus a 5 and three 6 seeds. Only one of the nine got out of the first weekend.
(No, I'm not saying that.)
that might be the case but then again, the one that did made it out of every weekend in the tournament.
is the way we play and Beilein's coaching style can be very hard for a team who has not seen it before.
The big East thinks they are amazing because they're getting more teams in than us...out of all those mediocre teams, Syracuse is the only one i think is good enough to make the final 4.
Marquette played very sloppy against Louisville but they are a great team. I would not be surprised one bit to see them in the final 4
...don't forget about Wisconsin, they're a 4 seed.
Sounds no different than SEC fans talking about football.
Look the best and most in-depth of all conferences. They now have to walk the walk here in March.
My disdain for Sparty and Tom Izzo is pretty well-documented, but I think they have earned a number one seed. It should be an interesting tournament.
It's hard to displace a very good Kansas team from a 1-seed, but damn how do they not give Sparty the 1 ??
Michigan Basketball is going to be fucking loaded next year. Who is going to stand in our way? Maybe Indiana, but MSU and OSU lose a ton. If Biefeldt can contribute, Horford continues to develop, McGary, Stauskas and GR3 all just get acquainted to Big Ten play quickly, look out. I just worry that we won't have a number 2 PG like Douglass who could also run the offense. Someone is going to get a redshirt.
Everyone loses leadership next year...but in all honesty Michigan, Sparty should be top 2 teams in the preseason. Minnesota might be good with guys coming back as well.
With Gary Harris coming in and Dawson coming back the rivalry in this state is going to hit a new level of intense.
Its about time big ten basketball got competitive its usually so boring its hard to watch
Let's go B1G teams - have a great tournie!
When we have even more of a bench available next year how does everyone get enough playing time to really build a deeper team with our style of offense? Just wondering.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((GO BLUE!))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I see no reason why the B1G shouldn't have 5 teams in the Sweet 16. MSU, OSU, Mich, IU, & Wisc.

That was a great showcase yesterday for the B1G. OSU and MSU played the best basketball I have seen in college all year long and on national TV. Visiting other websites from other conferences, there was a big "uh oh" effect. Just a great game for the B1G and the rest of the country was put on notice.
