Second time on this drive OSU should have had a turnover. MSU is the second luckiest team in existence.

They don't call it luck of the Irish for nothing.

Fucking stupid, MSU's 3rd chance to keep the drive alive after 2 blown TO chances.

A non recovered fumble and an INT to the numbers both wasted by OSU.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:38 PM ^
I think it's safe to say that TCU can't blow this one. Their only remotely challenging game left is at Texas at night.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:39 PM ^
One of the luckiest QB's I have EVER seen. The guy is practically Tony Romo except defenders actually CATCH the ball when Romo throws it to them. He is very talented but insanely inconsistant.

Does the company that makes LSU helmets not fasten the facemask onto the helmet? What is up with this... 2 times in 3 weeks.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:40 PM ^
TCU impressive as heck.
Oregon facing a Utah team that reminds one of Stanford of the past few years - good defense, good special teams...but not quite as good offenses as those Stanford teams had. But they upset Stanford at home last year. Think that one will be very close to the end but if Oregon can get up by 14 Utah doesnt have the firepower. Utah has done wonders with that defense considering it has 1 4 star on it, sheesh.

A friend of mine works with MSU athletics and he told me when I asked the same thing a few weeks ago.
The two next to one another are for football, one is field turf and the other is natural grass. Those are both exclusive to football while the field turf field across the way is mostly for the band but is marked with soccer lines as well. They have intramural flag football and club sports like rugby and soccer out there and pretty much anyone can use it if they ask. The old astro/tartan turf field nearest the stadium was for football a long time ago but (when Spartan Stadium was turf) is not just for field hockey and intramural lacrosse.

Probably shouldn't wave the Mutumbo finger when it was a ball thrown well behind the receiver, and your DBs have been getting beat all day.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:42 PM ^
Elliot a soph, JR a RS frosh, 4 new OL... fergodsakes.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:43 PM ^
I have to admit, I did not know who this OSU RB was. Haven't watched them much this year. Guy is fast and has some power. Naturally.

On top of all the other reasons (no big 10 in playoffs) I want MSU to lose becuse Dantonio said MSU would win this game Friday. I want that pride before fall crap to smack his smug face so bad.

epic drop
November 8th, 2014 at 10:45 PM ^
If OSU could stop shooting themselves in the foot, they would be up by 21 points by now.

I'm convinced Dantonio has made a deal with the devil post 2012. The only "luck" he can not defeat is the Irish's.

Barrett is so composed. This is a RS frosh who has missed 2 years of football who was a backup not getting 1st team reps all fall until 10 days to go. Damn. Hat tip to you Urban.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
OSU is going to beat the piss out of us. Even if they lose, to play like this in EL is impressive. Probably something like 45-20
November 8th, 2014 at 10:50 PM ^
20? lol. 20? (said in playoff?! voice)
November 8th, 2014 at 10:54 PM ^
we can double our offensive output from the NU game?
November 8th, 2014 at 10:56 PM ^
Hoke's teams have played surprisingly well against OSU. We'll pull out a few tricks and get there I bet. OSU doesn't play defense:
2011: 40
2012: 21
2013: 41
2014: ?
November 8th, 2014 at 10:54 PM ^
If they win, they will need to run up the score to impress. It will need to be a larger margin of victory then the MSU vs. UM game. Should be fun!
November 8th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
No fumbles OSU. No fumbles.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
or is it always easy to tell when a team is running a qb draw/read based on how a qb leans forward before the snap
November 8th, 2014 at 11:00 PM ^
I always used to be able to tell what run play Michigan was doing under Richrod based on how they stood. RB directly to the side of the QB? Read option. RB slightly behind QB? Run up the gut, every time. QB draws are similar.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
Man, OSU's offense is a well oiled machine. Like Oregon's, it's unstoppable as long as it stays out of its own way.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:58 PM ^
Nah, that spread stuff can't work in the Big Ten against a real defense like MSU.
The only way to do it is to run from under center and control the clock and win 10 to 7. Just like they did it before that newfangled internet stuff.
November 8th, 2014 at 10:51 PM ^
Has OSU punted?

How did OSU lose to Va Tech, and how did they nearly lose to PSU?
November 8th, 2014 at 10:54 PM ^
MSU really missed Allen and Bullough. Their DB's are not that hot either. It's hard to overstate how much a MLB can mean to a defense. Hull is an AA and showed that versus OSU.
