On one hand, I want Hutch to go #1 overall so Michigan football can have that feather in its cap. On the other hand, I'd love to see him in a Lions uniform.
I'd like to see Hutchinson wind up on a team that has a chance at eventually being successful, which I know will never be the Lions. Here's to hoping he stays healthy and is able to land with a good franchise once his rookie contract runs out.
Normally I agree but his family, who he seems very close with, is here in Metro Detroit. It's not a bad setup for a rookie to find his feet in the NFL. He can always go somewhere else as a free agent to chase a ring later (probably whatever team immortal Tom Brady is playing for).
I am not convinced the Giants will choose wisely (OT & pass rusher) until they actually do. Zero faith in anything John Mara touches.
I know--conditioned instinct tells us the Giants will fuck this up.
If they fuck this up, I'm going to lose my mind.
I want the Alabama tackle. Then an edge rusher...
Give me Neal and Thibodeaux and my faith will be restored.
Neal is right there...hes right there...
This could work out very, very well.
They better fucking take Neal
Beautifully, just beautifully done!
I wouldn’t prefer woody Johnson
Woody is most certainly back from the UK...
Good luck to all the Michigan men. Go Blue!!
Congratulations Hutchinson, you don't have to go play for trash Jacksonville!
You get trash Detroit! Glad to see him stay home though
Ugh we lost to Georgia again!!
Trent Baalke, you are...
Glad to see Hutch right there for the taking for the Lions though.
YESSSSSSS!!!
〽️〽️〽️HUTCH STILL AVAILABLE FOR THE LIONS! 🦁
Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
Do it Lions!
Edit..My wife just said “if you like Aiden so much why would you want him to go to the Lions?”
Smart wife!
i have to agree with mrs. DD. as a lions fan i can't in good conscience want a player i like to play for them. talk about a psychological pretzel.

At this point, it's clear that Jacksonville is a worse franchise. After hiring Urbz they are now being led by Baalke. I think Pederson is a good coach, but their personnel decisions are going to be awful for the foreseeable future, and last night was exhibit A.
It's a reasonable and insightful question.
Wow, Jax starts off with a reach. Keep on doing ya thang, Jags!
Can someone explain the logic in the first pick?
Jacksonville...
Jacksonville's GM is Trent Baalke - the same GM that clashed with (and ultimately fired) Harbaugh in SF.
That about sums it up.
I really don't think this guy will be better than Hutchinson. It's not even like he's a freak of nature and that's the difference Hutchinson is pretty fucking athletic.
I'm scared of Hutchinson being cursed by the Lions. (I'm not a Lions fan so I don't have the love for them like many on this blog)

In defense of the Lions (sort of)….the Lions have arguably been very successful in the past 30 or so years with high draft picks (yes I know the busts of Charles Rogers, and wasn’t it both Mike Williams’?) but, they also have drafted Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford, Suh…..2 of those guys are HOFers, while the other 3 either have a case to be in, or certainly will once they are eligible. The Lions have also drafted some good O linemen in these years. The lions problem is not that they don’t find talent, or curse people into bad careers, it’s that they never seem to get the right personnel around their best players even if they are putting together a HOF type career in numbers.
I think Hutchinson will put up big numbers, and I think he sort of has the motor similar to that of the Watt brothers, who like him are physically gifted, but they have a knack to be around the ball like no other. I look for him to have that type of career where he just wrecks havoc with his motor and knack for getting to the ball. I just hope the Lions can make his career memorable by putting together some playoff bound teams that also win games in the playoffs. Hutchinson might actually have the leadership skills to put the team on his back like he did these Wolverines, and also he loves all things Michigan. I feel like it’s a great fit all things considered.
Lions pick was in about a couple of minutes after Walker was drafted. Got to believe it's Hutchinson.
It didn’t take the lions long to decide
Hutchinson #2, pretty fucking impressive.
I’m surprised—thought Campbell was going with Thibodeaux
Hey, congrats, Lions fans!
As a lifelong SOL fan, my condolences Aiden. Best of luck...you're going to need it.
Well, the Lions didn’t fuck it up for a change.
Not the pick, at least. The rest remains to be seen...
Not being a homer - be Jacksonville is stupid. Aidan will be Allstar year 2.
WHOOO!!! AIDAN IS A LION!!!

Aidan on Hard Knocks will be a blast!
BINGO!!!
Well the Lions are going to have some insane jersey sales with that pick.
Can't wait to see the half Michigan half Detroit jerseys cuz you know that will be a thing
TAKE MY MONEY!
NIL? 🙂
The Giants are the only team I'd rather see draft Hutch than Detroit. Congrats Lions fans, I'm ecstatic for you!
