New UM Jordan and Nike shoes
Surprise surprise...it's not WD posting this thread!
Two new shoes have been announced, one of which is already available, the other is available Friday at 10am.

When Michigan got back together with Nike and Jordan I was so excited. Initially some of the Michigan releases were kind of cool (if you were a Michigan fan)...but the last few releases are hard to look at. There are classic Jordan and Nike shoes...make them in Maize & Blue and put an M on them (or release the Retro Jordan’s that they make for the team already!). Hard pass.

I know a 5 year old from Malaysia probably made them, but could they not have the same 5 year olds making them design them too? I want to give Nike my money for a pair of shoes, but all of the last 5-6 pairs have been atrocious.

Now hold it right there. They have child labor laws in Malaysia too. You can't work 14 hours a day in a factory until you are 6 years old.

Release some of the team-issue Jordans. These suck. I don't care if they release a year after the teams get them so they are still exclusive for quite a while... just release them!

I second this. Those are so much better than anything they have been coming out with. There was a pair I saw the team wearing, some all white with the blue swoosh and Jordan emblem, looked like some old low air force 1's. But cant find them anywhere.

Still holding out they will finally throw some 11’s out there for the public, but doubt it happens. Also wouldn’t mind to see some 1’s a lot like the cleats the players are wearing this season. Just the right balance of maize and blue

That is what I am hoping for too, the 11's. The closest ones they had were the win like 82's. They had the navy on them. I have some low 12's that are supposedly PE ones. They are all grey with navy and yellow emblems. outside of those, I don't think there has been a pair that I had to have. I think some 13's would look really good too!!

I have the navy/gum 11s that Jay Harbaugh wears. They were a general release and are gorgeous.

Woof and woof. Thank goodness because I don’t have the extra cash for them right now anyways if these were good. My consecutive home games attended streak is gonna end this week at 21 games going back to 2016.
Moving within 20 minutes of Michigan Stadium soon and have to save that money. ? ? ?

I really don’t think they could have released a worse collective group of Jordan shoes than they have. I’ve bought 1 pair so far. I assumed when the contract was signed I’d be buying at least 1 pair a year.

Nike and Jordan brands just really do not have any very good shoes out right now. Plus I'm guessing most Thepeople on this board don't know or like some of the "hype" stuff now days. only thing that would be really cool in Michigan colors to get Jordan 1 high or mid. none of the Jordan basketball shoes look great. I don't even think we go and get the Kyrie's and maize and blue because we are Jordan brand.
Like I said though, I really wish they would come out with some Jordan ones, that would have a huge resale value

The Jordan React Havoc in the Michigan colorway are pretty nice. I feel like overall Nike/Jordan just keep using bad models and bad colorways on everything they release. They have good models but don't use them for some reason. The Nike Pegasus Turbo 2 is a nice looking shoe and extremely comfortable and would look amazing in maize and blue, but of course they will never do it
