ND Ticket Prices
Thanks
$250 is a steal. They will be much higher on gameday....that is until halftime.
I believe ticket prices will go down after tickets are in hand and people can actually sell them on the open market. Stubhub is notorious for overpriced tickets by fans trying to get rich. I usually buy through craigslist and I have never had an issue finding tickets for a great price. Craigslist in AA usually has a fair amount of tickets and you can meet up with them on game day.
I would also recommend to anyone looking for tickets to this game to bit the bullet and buy season tickets. I have done this in the past and sold the tickets of games I can't attend. I would avoid Stubhub as much as possible for big ticket games as they are always over priced.
Check the MGoBlog ticket spreadsheet, located in the drop down menu at the top of the page. I paid 275 for my sideline seats and pretty close, That was the best deal I have seen and I've been watching for a while. Also you could try to buy a package from mgoblue.
Pay $300 now have the security of tickets in hand...At best you scalp on game day and save $100-$150 but stress over the hunt and the possibility of never finding a ticket and watching the game with a drunken Beavis in his RV.
I LOL'd at work on this one.
I would like to state that I bought the ND ticket pack yesterday, so I will definitely be in the stadium for that game. But you're more than welcome to poop in the RV.
The Notre Dame ticket packs are no longer available online. Only the OSU and Nebraska are listed now. I think the MGoBlog ticket spreadsheet would still be your best option.
I think those are going to get worse and worse as the game approaches.
5 minutes after kickoff you will be able to get in for $100.
eBay is ridiculous right now, most people are asking $1000+ just for two. Best deal so far I've found was 4 for a $1000, waiting on my buddies to decided if they want to go for that or not.
I already bought my plane ticket to come up for the game. I think that I'm going to take the "game day" approach and see what's available near kick-off time. There's 110,000 tickets, you can normally find one (although this isn't a "normal" game). My target price is $150.
OSU in 2003 is the only game that I've been too that I couldn't find ticket for.....or at least for less than $400.
Same for me, $150 is the goal, but we may have to wait until right up to kickoff, or even a little past that, until we find someone willing to sell for that price.
I'm in the same boat as you, already bought my plane ticket. I was hoping to get tickets next Monday, but now they're sold out.
I'm thinking / hoping that being a night game, we'll find some people that can't handle their sauce and will want to sell their tickets and go home and pass out?!?!
I sold my tickets for that OSU game in 2003. I am NOT selling my tickets for the ND night game. IMO, ESPN announces this is the gameday spot, and those $250 tickets become $300 pretty fast.
I know OSU > ND for sure. Especially when both UM and OSU were good teams. But this is a serious ticket. You can still get the OSU 4-game pack on MgoBlue.com. You can't say the same for ND. This is a much bigger game this season.
people were offering $1,000 on the walk to the stadium. It was wild.
Uh... the 2006 game was in Columbus.
I really do. I mean its a hot ticket no doubt, but I think the weekend of you'll be able to find some drunk chicks that will give them to you for $50. Thats my prediction. If you don't want to risk it, pay the market price now.
Edit: In fact I just bought one for $50. Granted it is a student ticket and I have my old ID, so that will work, but the point is, you can find cheaper tickets between now and the game.
Where did you get the student ticket for $50? I still have my ID as well and looking for two student tickets. Thanks.
I sent an email to a few friends and one of them knew a med student unloading it. I mean, I probably got the friend discount, but that doesn't mean you can't find a student ticket out there for a decent price. I think one advantage I had is I was only looking for 1.
If you know any grad students I'd hit them up. Usually they have email lists and a lot of them aren't necessarily huge fans (b/c they come from other schools). Thats where you'll probably have the most luck.
Thanks. Yeah I'll definitely send some emails around. I actually have a job now (unlike college) so I don't mind paying a decent price for a student ticket, they're just hard to find period. If you heard of any others, let me know and I'll owe you.
I have 2 ND tix in the corner plus 2 EMU tix in the corner I would sell for 550
The UM and ND fanbases are two of the most loyal, and since the game is well within driving distance for the two schools, I think demand is only going to get worse. ND fans believe their program in back on track, and they will be travelling in packs to AA--and will need tickets. Combine all this with the new regime at Michigan and the first night game in Big House history, I would buy now. No doubt--there MAY be some bargins approaching gametime, but that could be very risky with a game like this--just too many fans who may try to buy walk-ups at gametime.
I know South Bend is only a few hours away from the big house but what about ann arbor?
DB has "festivities" and "special events" planned for the ND game. He compared it to the Big Chill, which had a live performance, fireworks, giveaways, and lots of video presentations on the scoreboard (the overall presentation is also probably why we've scheduled to have so many recruits visit for ND).
Combined with the fact that this is the first night game, the special events will mean that tickets will be at a premium.
I've been to several games, but they've always been in and out... I'm spending a few days in AA for the ND game.. wondering what the school normally does or if there's any must go to events.
Thursday - Sunday.
ESPN College Gameday is going to be in town so dropping by their location (wherever that ends up being) may be a unique experience.
Single game tickets go on sale end of this week. Wait till then and see if you can grab one for the $85 list price.
Notre Dame is sold out.
The ticket packs are sold out. I highly doubt they sold all of the tickets through the packs. They would reserve some for those not wanting to drop $300+ on 4 games like us nutjobs. My guess is if you log on right away in the morning you might have a shot at getting one. I plan on trying.
I will try that approach as well.
Why would a ticket office reserve seats? Either way, the tickets are being sold at face value. They would rather secure the sale in advance for not only ND, but for 3 other games as well than save excess tickets for single game purchase.
EDIT: I called the ticket office and they told me that the currently have around 700 single seats left for the Notre Dame game and no pairs of seats together remaining. They also said that those 700 are still being bought up via packs so it's a roll of the dice on whether they will still be available for single game purchase.
They also confirmed they are NOT saving any seats for single game purchase only and if they are all sold via ticket packs beforehand, then they're all sold.
Apologies in advance if I'm being dense here, but how can the 700 or so singles be bought up by the packs if the packs are no longer available?
There seems to be a disconnect between online and over the phone. Online it says ticket packs sold out but when I called the ticket office they said they have around 700 single seat ticket packs still available for ND. So it is my understanding that they are available, but not for sale online and available over the phone. That would be my guess, though I didn't explore further as I'm not in the market for these tickets.
EDIT: Further investigation yields that although pairs of tickets are no longer available, ticket office rep said there may be a few piggy-back pairs remaining (i.e. Sec 27, Row 75&76, Seat 15). Anyone still looking for tickets packs may find it worthwhile to give the ticket office a call and talk to their phone sales reps in lieu of the online option which already says the packs are sold out.
EDIT EDIT: This information is all directly from UM Athletic Ticket Office phone rep. If for some reason this information is incorrect, my apologies. I just thought I would share the information to those that may find it beneficial. Hopefully the phone rep was speaking based on accurate knowledge. I called them directly at 734-764-0247.
If I possed the power to upvote you for your efforts, I would. But I don't.
I just dont understand if you were planning this all along and the OP's target price is $150-250 for a single why not spend $320 on 4 games, go to ND and scalp the others...BOOM you just went to ND for free?
Needed 2 and they were gone 15 minutes after sale. I tried.
huh..then I guess the $10 it cost me to be on the waitlist was worth it *shrug*
My brother and I both bought the OSU pack and I'm trying to unload the other 3 games. I thought the OSU game would sell out decently quick as everyone has enjoyed watching their downfall.
I am going to try and get a ND ticket as well and hope for the best.
what is the easiest way to buy tickets from mgoblue? Should I try calling them, or through the website once individual tickets go on sale?
and looking at the ticket prices online for Notre Dame, I'm fully expecting that ND alone would have cost at least 150-200 on gameday, probably more. I'm very glad I purchased the ND 4 pack right about now tho.
Apologies for the info deficiency, but could someone please point me to the ticket spreadsheet; I'd like to get on.
Thanks.
MGoBoard dropdown menu at the top > ticket spreadsheet
I plan on going on facebook to find students selling their tickets and then I'll just pay for the validation sticker
Demand for this game will only increase as the OP's pointed out. As soon as the 700 singles sell out, then all prices go up. I gambled in January and bought two in Section 5, row 42 for $260 apiece on StubHub and think I made the right call. There were no street tix to be had last season for MSU - this game will be even higher demand.
GBOD!
have the email for grad students and such selling tickets? I had to it last year, but misplaced it. It is probably the best way to get individual tickets at a decent price.
Thanks, guys.
The only way prices will go down is if we lose to WMU the week before, which (knock on wood) shouldn't happen. Otherwise, they'll only go up as the game gets more and more publicity.
