Another potential wrinkle is…

Another potential wrinkle is if Bama beats Georgia in the conference championship. In that situation does the SEC get two teams in? Or does Georgia get knocked out of the playoff by another 1 loss conference champion?

Yeah I totally agree with…

Yeah I totally agree with this. Driven, ambitious people do things a lot of people view as crazy but that is likely the type of effort it takes to become coach.

If this guy had done nothing illegal I’m sure this board would be lining up to applaud his effort. But because he has done something that folks view as jeopardizing the program he has to be “crazy”.

Not defending the guy but let’s be aware of our own bias and remember that there is a human being behind that headline. Imagine it’s not fun being on the other side of these comments.

I believe the article states…

I believe the article states that Harbaugh could expect a MINIMUM of a 6 game suspension not a max of 6 games

Adding UDFAs would be…

Adding UDFAs would be interesting but another option could be restricting this to only the first 5 rounds of the draft (as an arbitrary example). The underlying theory being that the difference between UDFAs and Round 7 picks is minimal.

To build on that idea you could analyze draft position vs # of starts to see if there is a clear drop off at some point in the later rounds and then that could become what you restrict your dataset to.

Thanks for the analysis and please don’t take my ideas as criticism! This is great work!

Have to love a good…

Have to love a good political dialogue that has nothing to do with the original question.

About Knoxville, I’ve lived here for the past 3.5 years. Similar to your situation I grew up in Michigan and moved here for work. Like others have mentioned it’s a great little downtown with plenty of restaurants and bars. It’s also great for outdoors things with the mountains for hiking and several waterways if you’re into water activities.

It’s been growing a lot due to very affordable housing and no state income tax. There’s all types of neighborhoods from older craftsman style to newer suburbs and obviously downtown loft types. A fair amount of people I work with are not from here and the consensus is that they love the area with a caveat of wishing the schools were a little better.

Happy to answer any specific questions if you have any.

One thing not mentioned yet…

One thing not mentioned yet is that nearly every company is withdrawing guidance for the year. What does that mean? No one has any idea what will happen. The market is forward looking but still based on current data and that data is a question mark.

Where I work pay increases and retirement contributions are on hold but no one has been laid off or pay reduced. Again I think this supports the fact that no one has any idea what will happen because everything is shutdown. It will take until next earnings season for the market to understand the extent of this shutdown. So if you want to play it conservative wait until late July before investing.

Orlando area here and haven…

Orlando area here and haven’t gotten mine either. Kind of onboard with the OP. This has dragged on awhile and I’d really just love to get my HTTV. Seems like a pretty basic request.

Regarding Roman, it seems

Regarding Roman, it seems like we should be happy that someone who has been an NFL level coach is accepting a NCAA OC job. Seems pretty qualified in my mind.

As a native of Detroit, its great to hear about people from the University of Michigan getting involved with the community, especially Brightmoor.

I'll definitely come and check it out.

I love this post because I

I love this post because I have no idea what it means. Alcohol. It's beautiful.

I think the point could be

I think the point could be made that it's childish that the NFL makes players talk to the media.

I realized this when I saw a

I realized this when I saw a Michigan fan arguing with a State fan over who made more money/who was more important. Loyalty to a sports team is like a family, they may be douchey, but you love 'em anyways because that's who your stuck with.

Douchebag Jar!!!!

Douchebag Jar!!!!

Not trying to hijack a

Not trying to hijack a thread, but anyone doing fanduel this weekend? I'm on the fence between picking Murray over lacy or picking Brady over romo. My question is, is it worth the money?

I've heard about this

I've heard about this "downvoting". I believe I am on pace to gain voting rights after about a decade. An accidental double post today helped speed up my timeline.

In Harbaugh I Trust.

In Harbaugh I Trust.

In Harbaugh I Trust.

In Harbaugh I Trust.

I guess that's why Harbaugh

I guess that's why Harbaugh took less money, he knew he was going to have to pay three defensive coordinators.

I feel that this is so much

I feel that this is so much bigger than the possible NCs we could win in the near future. I feel that Harbaugh could begin a new coaching tree that will keep Michigan relevant for decades to come. It's like the second coming of Bo.

If he said this to recruits,

If he said this to recruits, it would be all over twitter in seconds. Most recruits probably can't be depended upon to keep that news to themselves.

I disagree, second call was

I disagree, second call was borderline at best.

I get the feeling that Hoke

I get the feeling that Hoke is trying to push others with these comments. I would be pretty surprised if Mags, Kalis, Glasgow, Bosch, Braden weren't the starters week 2. Those 5 have the most playing time which is a more realistic gauge of who the coaches trust.

Don't even care if it's

Don't even care if it's Kool-Aid. I'll take a whole pitcher.

SOOO EXCITED FOR FOOTBALL TO START!!!

I think that he meant that

I think that he meant that you have never lived and experienced what it is like to be a cadet at a military academy. I am sure you would agree that attending a graduation didn't give you much insight into the lives of cadets.

I'm always curious what the

I'm always curious what the accused side of the story. By no means am I defending them, but I am a firm believer that each story has two sides.

I was stationed recently on

I was stationed recently on the Coast Guard Cutter Hollyhock and we made that trip frequently. We were in a 225 ft boat, but I think a couple observations are relevant.

It took us about 8 hrs from the Blue Water Bridge to the bottom of the Detroit River. Maybe a couple hours after that to get to Toledo (we never went to Put-In-Bay). We were speed restricted so you could make a little better time.

As for stopping at American or Canadian ports, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If you want tme to go in a little more depth, let me know and I can talk to you offline about customs and tricky navigation spots.

I am curious what you

I am curious what you disagree with me about?

Not trying to hijack the

Not trying to hijack the thread, but this just illustrates what happens when people jump to conclusions. Makes me think twice before saying anything about the Gibbons situation.

For the record I'm pretty

For the record I'm pretty sure he said, "If you open your mouth, I'm gonna s*** in it." I think that shaded it towards unclassy for me.

Sadly I've never been able to

Sadly I've never been able to sail in it, but I was stationed on the Cutter Hollyhock so I followed close behind. There were always great parties in Port Huron and Mackinac and most participants were generous enough to buy drinks for a Coast Guardsman such as myself.

Hope it's a good time.

Another point to consider is

Another point to consider is that recruits will go to schools that they are familiar with. Recruits from Missouri and eastern Texas are not used to watching their local teams play in the SEC. I would imagine with time, younger recruits will become more familiar with SEC teams and become more likely to visit/commit one of the SEC teams.

Hope everyone is similarly

Hope everyone is similarly prepared for NSD

"formerly-flaccid crowd to

"formerly-flaccid crowd to stand at attention", seems like you have some latent sexual thoughts going on there.

Was it just me or was that

Was it just me or was that Wiz Khalifa on the Taft sidelines.

This would actually help

This would actually help justify why we Hoke said he wanted to take 25-26 recruits this year and why we loaded up on linebacker.

Check the MGoBlog ticket

Check the MGoBlog ticket spreadsheet, located in the drop down menu at the top of the page.  I paid 275 for my sideline seats and pretty close, That was the best deal I have seen and I've been watching for a while.  Also you could try to buy a package from mgoblue.

Which club did you play for?

Which club did you play for?

Absolutely love playing

Absolutely love playing rugby, I played all 4 years while I was at the Coast Guard Academy.  In 2008 we almost played Michigan at the Div II Nationals. I didnt get to see them play because our game was at the same time.  In general rugby is really starting to get popular across the country.

It is pretty easy. I started

It is pretty easy. I started the test still drunk and finished with the worst hangover.

On a similar note, does anyone the exact qualifications before you can take the PE exam? It was never explained to me very clearly.

This is bracketology, not the

This is bracketology, not the real bracket we are an 8 seed vs TENN

Sadly they were chanting that

Sadly they were chanting that sporadically throughout the game

Its nice to see someone admit

Its nice to see someone admit they made a mistake and take the positives away from it.

Very poor sinners to be

Very poor sinners to be accurate

I have a question that maybe

I have a question that maybe one of you guys can answer. I dont go to UM but some of my friends do and said they would see if they could get some Big Ten Basketball Tourney tickets for me. Do they check IDs there?

Two things:
Last year was one

Two things:
Last year was one of the best recruiting years in a while for Michigan.

I'm not sure what you mean by "serious closing abilities", last year we picked up Stokes and Washington pretty late in the game.

yeah i know right? totally
