Fantastic read. Thanks, CRex. I think I need to go back and read some of your other diaries again!

7 weeks 6 days ago Who was it? I don't have ESPN

Who was it? I don't have ESPN insider. As a soon to be Calvin graduate, that would be interesting to know.

In five years, very few people (and probably only Michigan fans and PSU fans) will remember what happened last night. No one is forgetting "The Horror." We will be getting shit for that game for the rest of time.

15 weeks 6 days ago All confidence seems lost.

All confidence seems lost. This team had all the confidence in the world for the first half of the season, but they were not prepared to crash back down to earth. They have reacted badly and have regressed. This is on the coaches and the players. Let's hope this is the kick in the ass they need to get going into the NCAA tournament. It doesn't look good now, but this can be a great team if they catch fire. I'm keeping the faith. But today still hurts like hell...

16 weeks 3 days ago Well, I haven't committed

Well, I haven't committed yet. I just found out recently that I was accepted at Michigan for graduate school! I also have another offer on the table, but I have a feeling that Michigan is the final destination. I am visiting Michigan in a few weeks, so I hope to have a good committment story to tell at that point.

Missed the playoffs. My roommate is in the championship game this week. If I played his schedule, I would have made the playoffs. Just an unfortuate schedule draw on my part.

Only 3 more days left of work before I head home then head to my senior year of college. At the end of work is when there is the most to finish. I hope I can finish it all while also obsessing over the fact that Michigan football is only 8 days away!

This post will give me the tied-for-2326th most MGoPoints. The fact that there are over 2000 users with more points than me really emphasizes the magnitude of this site.

I think TomVH may have had a karma of 5 at some point, but he is at 3 now. The highest I know of is THE_KNOWLEDGE, who has a karma of 4. Whether some of that karma comes from posts in the future that only he knows of is unknown.

45 weeks 4 days ago I love Protest The Hero! I

I love Protest The Hero! I haven't listened to much Animals as Leaders, although I keep hearing about them. I will have to check them out. I really like Mutiny Within as well. Not as well known, and they only have one album out, but it was really well done in my opinion.

I usually don't get to talk about music all that much since most of my friends cant stand the music I listen to. Oh well, I know this stuff isn't everyone's cup of tea.

45 weeks 4 days ago I saw both All That Remains

I saw both All That Remains and As I Lay Dying when they toured together a few years ago. I almost didn't make it because I had a really bad fever at the time. I barely made it through the concert, but was glad I went. From what I remember, both All That Remains and As I Lay Dying put on a fantastic show.

45 weeks 4 days ago I saw ABR live a few years

I saw ABR live a few years ago when they were touring with Underoath. They put on a great concert. I am actually going to see them again in a month or so on their new tour.

Solid stuff there. I listened to quite a bit of August Burns Red this morning.

I have been listening to Periphery's new album since it came out a month ago as well. I love that stuff.

Can you imagine that with Denard and Devin? Goodness that would be a thing of beauty. Borges make it happen.

Impressive. The collective knowledge of the board truly is spectacular.

45 weeks 5 days ago Well, the top of the picture

Well, the top of the picture does cut off some of his hair. He looks like he is balding if you look right. Maybe that is why he looked older?

45 weeks 5 days ago I expected this number to be

I expected this number to be higher. Of course, PSU households is different than PSU fanatics. It would be interesting to see a split between PSU households who don't follow football vs. PSU households who are emotionally and financially invested in the football team. I expect the PSU families with weaker ties to the university and the football program are many of the voters who thought the penalties were appropriate. Just looking at PSU fans I would expect the number of those who think the sanctions are too severe to be higher than 52%.

45 weeks 6 days ago Went winless in three years

Went winless in three years of middle school basketball. Played varsity tennis all four years in high school, playing doubles. Had a decent junior year, made second team all-area. Our tennis team was just good enough to qualify for states, but not good enough to win any matches there.

Yeah, my athletic accolades are quite minimal.

51 weeks 1 day ago My great grandmother was born

My great grandmother was born in 1910, and she passed away two years ago just months after turning 100. She grew up in the Netherlands and came to the United States in the late 1940's. She has seen and experienced so much history, and it was always truly remarkable when we could visit her and talk to her. My grandma was almost killed in a WWII bombing, but a door fell over her crib and protected her from other debris. It is always fascinating to talk to people who have lived longer and seen more than me (I am only 20).
