Perhaps they didn't mention Purdue and MSU because there will be two new east coast schools come in and both Purdue and MSU will go the West? |

Congrats to you and your wife on the new addition! Now get off mgoblog and go cut the ambilical cord! |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | Subpar? |
Burns has a National "A" Level coaching certificate. Agreed that he's no Sir Alex, but we're talking about US college soccer. 99% of college soccer in the US is recruiting. Agreed that losing his starting keeper and prized recruit is probably somehow on Burns, but I'd be curious to hear what you observed in the stands that gave you the impression he was subpar? BTW, alot of players not liking their soccer coach is not surprising. It's the nature of the relationship. |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | Details? |
Not trying to start anything, but when you make a statement that he pissed off two assistant coaches to the point that they left before the season started, I'd be curious to hear the back story. I played for Burns in the 90's at Michigan. As for Porter, I played against him in high school and he's really done a great job at Akron. However, one of the reasons he's done so well there and would not be able to do as well at Michigan is because he gets alot of the "one and done" national team players that will play in college and then move on to the MLS or Generation Adidas (if they still have that). That will not work at Michigan. Burns was only able to get one or two academic lite players in every couple of years with great emphasis on graduation. I'm surprised to hear about the academic issues you mentioned...

Know if I thank the local ABC affiliate or Directv for showing the Miami game on BOTH ABC and ESPN? FML |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | Line |
Anyone notice that the line went from Michigan favored by 3 to now even, with one site even giving a point to Illinois? I'm no professional gambler, but that's a big move. Any ideas? |

| 1 year 35 weeks ago | We lost my mother-in-law last |
We lost my mother-in-law last year to ovarian cancer. You're absolutely right about the suffering. She's going to a better place. The positive thing that stuck with me was the numerous selfless acts you notice when going through that experience. Go Blue and God Bless. |

Glidden has the official NCAA line, at Home Depot, and I had no problems with the Maize and Blue colors. The grey primer helped, but the blue still took 4 coats, so that kinda sucked... |
| 1 year 41 weeks ago | Alpharetta |
Congratulations on the boy! We have our third on the way in December. Forget Augusta, come up to Alpharetta, we have basements (and unlike the north), the basements down here are primarily day light basements. Anyway, like everyone above said, you do not want to be sitting in a garage without an A/C in Georgia. Neither will your expensive TV. Also, your HOA, if you have one, may not be too pleased with it either. I finished my basement last year (translated I had an electrician, plumber, and dry wall guy come out), but I did do the floors, wiring, and painting. I put the kids play room right next to the media room and the Michigan room, so they can't escape it. Props to the mgouser to posted pictures of his basement (stole the Fathead block M idea from him). My son (5 years old) and I watched Michigan vs Duke basketball in the media room and it was one of those special events. He asked why Michigan lost to "those Dukers". Last word of wisdom, as much as I love Michigan, the wife has made it perfectly clear that the "Hope Scholarship is the Hope Scholarship." Free in-state tuition versus out of state tuition (x3). Just sayin. |

| 1 year 44 weeks ago | Question |
Anyone know if the ticket office is open today? I've been trying to call all morning (explained below) and it's constantly busy. I mean I'm sure it's a busy day but the phone line has been busy since 8:30am... My thought / hope was that some of the 700 ND single game tickets were still around and that they were not being offered online (as last week they were not available online but were said to still be available). Thoughts? |

I vaguely remember that Bernie had a run on WNBC (NBC affiliate in NYC) in '97?. It was a short run and then he went back to Detroit? Is that right, or am I on drugs? |

If I possed the power to upvote you for your efforts, I would. But I don't. |
| 1 year 45 weeks ago | Confused |
Apologies in advance if I'm being dense here, but how can the 700 or so singles be bought up by the packs if the packs are no longer available? |
| 1 year 45 weeks ago | Trade |
Will gladly give you my paid hotel reservation (Fairfield Inn / Canton), 2 night stay, in exchange for 2 ND Tickets... |
| 1 year 45 weeks ago | Same Boat |
I'm in the same boat as you, already bought my plane ticket. I was hoping to get tickets next Monday, but now they're sold out. I'm thinking / hoping that being a night game, we'll find some people that can't handle their sauce and will want to sell their tickets and go home and pass out?!?! |
| 1 year 45 weeks ago | 10PM on Monday 07/18 |
The general public tickets go on sale at 10pm Monday night (July 18th). I would definitely not go online to buy tickets earlier than 10pm that day... |

| 1 year 49 weeks ago | A little more on the kicker question |
Kid asks the question, the crowd laughs. DB turns around to Hoke and says, "you got a kicker this year?" and Hoke says, "yeah, we got a kicker". DB turns back around to the microphone and says, "so to answer your question, yes, we have a kicker".... "and we're going to tackle too!" Zing. |
| 1 year 49 weeks ago | DC Alumni Event Update |
I think this came from the DC Alumni event that just ended about an hour ago. Confirming that Hoke did say there would be no helmet stickers and no #1 jersey this year. Other notes and observations - DB mentioned intent to expand Big House to 125K over time Beilein stated that all feedback received is that D Morris will go first round Michigan's new lacrosse coach was there as well as Red. Hoke is very charismatic, but will probably never win a Toast Master's award. A very nice, passionate guy, recognized Chris Floyd, who was in attendance. Did the spiel where he explains how every Michigan team meeting begins ("good evening - response good evening, championship - response 42, years, response 132, Beat, response - OHIO"). Very nice guy, stayed around and took pictures with everyone that asked. Understandably, he had the crowd eating out of his hand.

Aside from that, living down here in the south, I can tell you that the Auburn fans do love them those trees. As others pointed out, 40 years is potential maximum. |

1. Manager of Revenue Accounting & Reporting. My group closes the books monthly and then report the results. 2. Question is too broad. At a high level, they expect to be mentored, trained, and supported as they perform their job function. 3. Again, very broad. Typical stresses related to a month end deadline driven organization. 4. Typical dislike of a large organization that is slow to adapt. 5. Every two weeks they pay me. 6. Top-performing managers have a "next" gear that the standard manager does not. When the pressure is on, the top-performing manager is able to respond. 7. Ability to relate to all levels of staff, ability to perform under pressure and the ability to comprehend concepts as they are identified. Acquisition of these skills comes with both life and work experience. 8. Not sure. I make mistakes all the time, it's more important how you react to your mistakes. I hope this helps, not sure it's the sage and wisdom you were hoping it would be... |

I love me some Costco. I love me some Kirkland. But the Kirkland beer 24 sample pack is awful. It's the opposite of Fred Jackson describing his RBs. It's the anti tremondous. No, seriously, it's that bad. The Mexican and Beligian variety packs are so much better. |
| 2 years 34 weeks ago | Question on the Wall |
Florida Blue, as one M fan in the south to another, what did you use for the block M on the wall? Doesn't look like a sticker or fat head. No offense, but I doubt you did that free style by hand! Thanks and well done. |
| 2 years 39 weeks ago | What am I missing here? |
I'm all for "outrage" and petitions and what not, but shouldn't these letters be sent to the Big 10 office, rather than to Michigan? Meaning, Brandon didn't make the decision, he is just preparing the fanbase for the decision that was made. Are you hoping to cause enough "outrage" that Michigan threatens to leave the Big 10? What other recourse is there? |

This seems pretty pricey and only gives you games telecast on the BTN, but it's something...
