I remember when that senile fool Holtz said he "liked ND's chances in 2007".

And then this happened-

I don't even consider them a rival. Rivals don't quit because they are getting their ass kicked (5 of the last 7).

Yeesh, that still cracks me up.  Little did I know how painful the three succeeding years were going to be.  What is awesome is that RR beat these dickbags 2 out of three times.

I hate Notre Dame almost as much as OSU and MSU.  When I went to U-M, we lost all friggin' four years to ND, going 2-2 against State and 3-1 against OSU (this would be the 87-90 seasons).  However, ND just sucks a big one and so I kind of treat them as rivals behind OSU and MSU.

Man a rematch of ND and Alabama would really swing the other way. I could see that. You know if they didn't come out in the first half.

Yeah I know the thread was regular season but if you have a crazy prediction you should go all out.

Well, if nothing else, the average prediction is 9.8 wins and 2.2 losses with a standard deviation of about one game in either direction, so the typical pick on One Foot Down was not an undefeated season. There were four 9-3 and four 10-2 predictions in the group of 13 bloggers.

Man, a fan base supporting their team?! No way! What is the world coming to!!! Won't someone please think of the children? /s
I have read countless comments here about Michigan going 11-1, 12-0 over the past off season. You realize that we are being mocked somewhere.

If it is only one guy picking 12-0 then this is not a huge deal. As mentioned there are people on here picking 10-2 and 11-1. I still think Michigan goes 8-4 again. It is what it is.

I think 9 wins seems about right for Michigan. There are some tough games but I don't think any of them will be nearly as painful as ND or Ohio State of last year. it would take some serious luck and more than solid freshman contributions for us get 11 or 12 wins.

Does this really have to be a thread?  It amazes me that people on this board talk about the "little brother"-ness of MSU and other programs obsessed with UM, and yet there are numerous posts on this site, especially during the build-up to a rivalry game, where people complain about some commentors on another site overrating their program.  Troll some of the other UM sites and you'll see the same idiocy.  But every time I see one of these posts, it drives me a bit more crazy and makes me wonder how close this site is to becoming the self-parody other fans claim it is.

A member only two weeks and already I'm tired of your rap.

Somebody does police "this stuff".  They are called mods.  You are not one of them.  I know this for three reasons:  First, your username name is not "LSAClassof2000", "justingoblue" or "M-Wolverine"; second, a mod would have more than 29 points and have a join date much earlier than August 5th of this year; and third, if you were a mod you would know actually know what is and is not OT.

So, in closing, knock it off already, it's boring...

....and somebody please tell me downvotes will return by the time the season starts.

But I'm not a mod!

Everyone please stop insulting the good character of the staff and mods by associating them with me.

(People barely want me as a poster. They don't want me as a mod.  We already had Geaux Blue; we don't need anyone else getting medieval on people.)

You're still a regular contributor and the author of a popular weekly MGoBlog column, which makes you as qualified as a mod to determine what is and isn't OT.  At the very least orders of magnitude more qualified than this obnoxious new guy who seems to think it's his duty to tell us what is and isn't appropriate for the board.

to watch this game.It will be interesting if Michigan OL can control the LOS! If they can't and the defense doesn't play well then ND will take it.

If OL dominates ND DL, then Michigan will win.

If both UM and ND offense struggles then it will be up to the defenses and who ever can make the big play.

I'm leaning 60/40 Michigan wins, though it may not be pretty!
