ShootWhat are the chances we

Shoot

What are the chances we get an upset and beat them in Columbus ?

Are they clearly a better team or are most of the problems mainly coming from youth and lack of scoring ?

Shame because I really wanted to see the quarterfinals, but I don't have BTN plus sooooo

Good Luck Guys.

After all that has happened,

After all that has happened, do you guys still think Delany will continue to pursue North Carolina ?

I wonder if they could even lose AAU status due to this. Didn't Syracuse drop out of the AAU under similar shady allegations, I don't really recall so if someone can clarify...

Why does he sound like Winnie

Why does he sound like Winnie Pooh...

It's bad enough that he sounds like he just got done with a hangover, compound that with his voice and it sound like Winnie the Pooh is high and/or drunk out of his mind.

Hoke's in over his head so....

I Heard

Hoke apparently said he would walk home if they lost tonight. If this does indeed happen and I don't doubt he will stop at a buffet or twelve, what say we grab and few pitchforks, torches, and "greet" him at the Ohio border ?

Any Chance

We get to see the games in BTN or not ?

I would imagine we don't which is a big shame, especially with the sport gaining popularity not only in Michigan, but in the B1G demographic too.

Natural Fit

Them and the A(cademic) C(heaters) C(onference ) we're simply made for each other.

To HELL with Notre Shame !!!

Goodbye

and Good Riddance, we don't need people like that representing this school. Adios Csonte.

Yeah

No.

Finally

It's amazing to me that someone has finally said what I've been thinking for the longest, the football players aren't the only ones who contribute something productive to the university. Us students are kind of important too.

Too many see only in the short term and only think in terms of money. Yes the football players provide revenue and good exposure to the university and yes they act as bridges between alums and the current students, hell at times they can also be fun to watch.

However the students like myself who go here are the inheritors of tomorrow and is there truly anything near so important as bright future for our world and the possibilities that are still dreams to us to make.

We should be seen just as important if not more so as should many of the professor as any football players, head coaches, or douchy athletic directors. Thankfully, finally someone gets that.

Well

At least we made it close and Belgium had to earn every point. I don't think we would have made it close against Argentina anyway. Still plan on watching the World Cup though, now it's nothing but the best teams going head to head.

Weird

Am I the ONLY one who doesn't mind Maryland joining us ?

Gives us the DC market, was at one point a damn good BBall team (haven't watched them so maybe they are still pretty good), could be a potential B1G hockey hotspot (Caps being popular and the Ovy Effect), pretty good academics (not us, but outside of Northwestern who is). They should ditch Rutgers (Syracuse or UConn), but whatevs. Hopefully they can contribute and make the B1G the place to be.

I Guess

I should have clarified, but I was referring to the shot in OT when the Chilean player had taken a shot and struck the overhead bar missing then shot then the last penalty kick that lost them the game.

Lucky

Not once, but TWICE less then an inch away from victory for Chile. They put in a great effort and maybe it's me being somewhat ignorant of their team, but there isn't much to be impressed on the Brazil side.

It's mainly Neymar and when he is quiet Hulk who carry the team, if you can stop those two then you can take Brazil down. Maybe they are better and I haven't seen enough or what. For the hype they get they I really don't see the big deal.

I'm Sure They

Are tired, but I think Chile needs better then this, Brazil or should I say Hulk looks like he could take it there anytime now and it's then just a matter of time before he scores.

They could continue to weather the storm, but they are REALLY dancing with the devil if that's all they have to strategize with.

Holland, MI

Spent the day up there by myself once and it was pretty cool. Beautiful beaches, pretty girls, tranquil and quaint, I spent a lot of time downtown so I'm sure I missed some stuff, but even so I enjoyed it.

Welp

We advanced, just not quite the way I wanted to though. Still....

Thank You CR7, you beautiful douche you.

Penny Dreadful

Victorian Goth + Horror + Mystery + Eva Green = Good Stuff

Agreed

I can't see regions like the SEC and the American South for whatever reason turning away from football. It's ingrained with the culture down there in much the same way soccer is in many European countries and as we all know they are very good at it.

Plus pro teams like the Giants, Raiders, Packers, etc are major part of the American sports scene and culture. Football may sleep for a time when it comes to that, but I don't see it dying for any reason.

Novice Here

This may be kind of odd question or could seem obvious to some, but I'm relatively new to soccer and just started becoming interested in only a few months so bear with me.

I've read that what would help most of all is if kids from a relatively early age are indoctrinated into the sport and show strong and consistent levels of commitment to honing their skills and then going to academies in which those skills can be further honed.

I've also read that here it's more of a middle to upper middle class sport and in order to get the best you have to cast a large net for talent getting kids from inner cities could yield good results in that as well.

That makes sense and I agree, but how do you get kids interested enough into having that level of commitment too the games and how do you help the kids from bad neighborhoods steer towards soccer rather then play basketball or football ?

My thought is that what if the B1G Network put more emphasis on the soccer rather then just football, basketball, hockey, or lacrosse. I sincerely doubt anyone will ever consider the MLS to be relevant or help make the sport popular. Hell I know more WNBA teams names and players then MLS.

Rather then that what if kids and young adults saw Michigan or Michigan State or Ohio And Penn State really get behind and cultivate the sport could grow interest from the kids and the parents as a safer route then football ?

I'd could get behind the Wolverines soccer team before I could get behind a MLS soccer club based in Detroit or say Grand Rapids or something because I have a strong emotional investment with the school and teams. I think most other alums and fans that in certain regions where the sport is popular could feel the same.

This way kids in the area could be brought playing soccer for brands and teams they know and our the sport where it's popular could potentially in the conditions could match an SEC level of commitment in soccer the way kids down south have to american football.

Sorry for the long winded post, just had a lot on my mind as to why the sports not popular and how it could be.

Why

I kind of wish there could have been a LSH brief cameo. Not so much a reveal as more a brief appearance of a hooded figure or something. Overall decent episode, but the creators hyped to be there best yet and that is just not true.

8.5 / 10

Although

I'm a book reader and knew it was coming, the visualization from the books to show was absolute. It's one thing to see it in your mind how it plays out, it's a whole other animal when you hear the screams of pain when the Mountain is gouging his eyes out and Ellaria is screaming in horror.

Tour de Force. Simply put, 10/10.

Nah

I think she is using him as a means to keep herself alive until she has finally figured out what road she wants to travel and what life she wants to lead.

She knows she is Littlefinger's weakness and he think she is far to innocent and naive to use him, he'll get his too at some point I think.

Sweet

Basically we can get a renewable energy resource that is plentiful, eco-friendly, easy accessible to the masses, and can hopefully replace fracking in producing natural gas for consumer consumption I believe. Exciting stuff and hopefully it shows progress in development.

Woodson

Nuff Said

Love The Pick

Highly versatile and more athletic then you would think. He could and should have gone in the late 2nd or early 3rd round so it's good value to get him here as well. May never be a pro bowler, but he will get his stats and contribute to the cause. Think Chad Greenway.

At First

I was furious, I myself either wanted to trade up an get Watkins if he dropped to the ATL or get Kyle Fuller whom I think is going to be a good one. He isn't as fast as Gilbert nor as physical as Dennard, but he is the most technique and pro ready of the three and has good instincts and run support ability (effing Bears get him).

The announcement of Ebron made me throw my remote across the room into a bunch of pillows that I put there just in case. We need defensive help in the secondary and these morons get a damn TE. Typical Lions.

Now after the initial disappointment I kind of get why hey did it. Calvin could possibly get hurt an given the lack of receiving help prior to this year he isn't going to get better. The addition of Tate somewhat alleviates that notion, but even still the threat looms if it's just Tate and Bush as primary targets.

Paddlehands isn't a reliable enough target to go to and make a big play (why we resigned him is beyond me) and Fauria could still use some seasoning. The dimension of Ebron allows another target incase Calvin goes down and we need a big play threat.

He reminds me instead of a Antonio Gates like player rather then a Jimmy Graham, not to say he is as good as Gates but that's his style of play. His roles though will be the same as a mismatch for both OLB and DB alike (I don't think it's a coincidence that both Packers and Bears got DB help after our selection when both need help in other areas).

Also, as much as I like Fuller as a prospect if I'm honest with myself Ebron is better. The Lions went BPA and got a guy that serves a purpose on the team and is good player. There are plenty of DBs and OLBs and such to choose from later and we get our guy then.

In Truth

It's as flat as Iowa or Nebraska, no hips to speak of neither. Up top though.......

In other words no one is perfect and I'd still tap that.1

GOOOAAALLL

Teh King Is DEAD !!!

Geez

Hell of a way start, poor girl.

Yeah

Association of American Universities.

If Only

They were an AAU school, complete the New York market along with Rutgers and B1G basketball would gain one more notch in the murderers row of college basketball schools and conferences.

Excellent

It worked brilliantly too, read the whole paragraph without a hitch.

Crazy

To think that at one point I wanted the B1G to pick them up for expansion for basketball and get into the KC tv market. LOLNo.

That's What She Said

Can't believe it took that long. As far as the commitment of G is concerned, our DB core could look like Bama's if we can keep this pace. A 1st round DB every year can go a long way as far a getting those kids from the south up here.

Such Sad News

Hang in there Pat, you can beat this !!!

Ehh

It's always bothered me that she has no hips or backside too speak of. A lovely face, warm personality, Michigan ties, the "obvious" are her best assets to assert her beauty. Nothing inherently wrong with any of those, but it just weirds me out I guess.
