NCAA Deregulates Electronic Communications

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

The NCAA needs to be destroyed.

It's unacceptable for a kid to have the OPTION to go to a satellite camp, but now they won't be able to escape from phone calls and texts.

Also announced by the NCAA was the deregulation of electronic communication to prospects. Parents of recruits better get that unlimited data

It's really time to say "Fuck the NCAA" and replace it with a model that has a lot less stupid rules and stops their practice of stealing money and opportunity from kids while placing more and more burdens on them.

This has to be a joke right? If this is the case, there needs to be some kind of "seriously, I'm done talking to schools" policy short of a restraining order.

Harbaugh has to be brewing up a good one. Post your best guess Harbaugh tweet before the day is done.

-NCAA bans teaching and coaching kids that cant afford to travel across country. Also we can now non-stop text kids 24/7. Congrats NCAA on looking out for the kids.

So I think we can say clearly that the NCAA exists to serve a subset of FBS head coaches and not all of college athletics or college athletes or prospective athletes.

Just 20-30 head coaches.

This is just...idk man. Like, on one hand I get it, enforcement was a bitch on this rule. But on the other, it clearly benefitted kids by keeping them from getting constantly blown up. The NCAA is just approach a cartoonish parody of an organization at this point, the level of hypocrisy is genuinely impressive.

Banning satellite camps AND deregulating electronic communication in the same day? Yikes. Two huge whiffs that make even the most tone deaf person seem like they have feelings.

NCAA: Pro-Amateurism Ostensibly, Anti-Student Definitely.

The SEC better throw a tornadic fit over this. I mean, they are the frontrunners of child welfare. They said so.

This isn't FIFA-level bullshit, but its pretty embarassing.
