National Championship Game Open Thread

You're on this blog, I don't have to tell you who. And yeah, it's early, but it's not like it's going to get bumped off the front page with the board shut down. Plus you know you're watching the pregame anyway.

To come play in the easier B10, PR if he's making a mistake because he'll never be able to recruit a team that can beat these squads in bowl games up here.

You mean the team that was Mallett Noooo from beating them? And record aside, realistically that was probably the best Big Ten team vs. The 3rd best (maybe 4th...I bet LSU would win more games in a 7 game series vs. them) team in the SEC. OSU hasn't done that well against the top of the SEC.

The Florida team that Michigan beat in 2008 was very close to knocking off Eventual-National Champion LSU; they only needed 1 stop in about 3 4th down conversions, and that would have been enough to win the SEC East and play for a bid to the National Championship. Needless to say, the Florida team that Michigan beat in the Citrus Bowl was nearly good enough to play in the National Championship, where it would have certainly been able to beat Ohio State.

So while it seems like the SEC's best is better than the Big Ten's best, it really isn't as far away as it appears (especially if the NCAA voids all of Cameron Newton's accomplishments, in which case the SEC's best lost to the Big Ten's #2 team).

My friend and his wife (auburn alums) live in Michigan now, went to the game/weekend out there.  Bought tickets for over $3k and stub hub offered them $10300 for the set....he sold out so is not at the game, but in Glenville.  I couldn't believe it and neither could they..made over $7k on 2 tickets...

Not being a candidate any more. Play calling has sucked big time. Coming up small in a bowl game again. Fluky play is the only shot Oregon has.

playcalling has been horrible. Not sure why people are criticizing Oregon's D, they have held a team that averages 40+ points to 19 points. They are not the reason Oregon is losing.

James passed Denard for total rushing yards this season, but it looks like Newton won't join the 1500/2500 club, mush less the 1700/2500 club that Denard populates all by his lonesome.
