Nader Furrha (sp?) v. Nick Sheridan: battle royale!

This is just a hypothetical. Who wins our third string spot *IF* Threet were to transfer? I know nothing about Nader, so who is expected to be better between the 2?

Probably the guy that started games last year, if only for the fact that he has experience in the system. I also think that Sheridan wasn't that bad against Minnesota, and that is what the coaches likely saw in practice.

Nader doesn't have the size, neither does Sheridan. They played in the same mhsaa league and Nader put up much better numbers. Nader is faster and has a better arm. He doesn't have the football iq of Sheridan but that will come with time. Nader could run the UM offense better, not much of a doubt in my mind. If Nader was even 6 foot instead of 5'7" he would be a d1 starter.

Nader's bro is a walkon as a LB on the team as well. I've seen Nader play, he's a beast. About his size though, Rivals has him as 6'2" and Scout as 6'1". I think that's exaggerated but I think he breaks 6'.

Sorry, 5 7 was an exaggeration. He does not break 6 foot though. Probably close to 5 10. Maybe 5 9. I really do think he is going to make an impact as a wolverine. Most likely he will be the greatest scout team qb UM has ever seen. As any former player or coach knows, that is absolutely HUGE. Especially since we will have to hang with Pryor for a while...

As a coach for an SEC school, shouldn't you be busy doing coaching stuff? Lane Kiffin was just talking about how he works from 5:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. If you're on Tennessee's staff, you're going to get fired. If you're on another SEC staff, Kiffin's going to kick your team's ass. And you're going to get fired.

it probably tells you about how much of a high school sports nerd I am that I recognized that as the MSHAA's SEC without even thinking of the NCAA one. By the way, this means that guy coaches at one of these schools: Huron, Pioneer, Monroe, Saline, Bedford, Adrian, Chelsea, Dexter, Techumseh, Ypsilanti, or Ypsilanti Lincoln.

He seems to be talking from a third person sort of view, so I think we can eliminate Pioneer and Saline. From my days of Dexter football I can remember having no one that was smart enough to even notice the opposing QB's height, and I doubt they were smart enough to hire someone who did. I'm going to cross off Dexter. I'm going to guess perhaps Chelsea or Milan.

I coached the Saline Freshmen back in 2004 through 2006. One day during the varsity practice, this guy showed up and took Nick aside while the team was still running through drills. I guess none of the coaches saw until later what exactly was going on. Apparently, he put Nick through a little "workout" and wanted to see him throw, see his dropback, etc. Come to find out, it was Furrha's dad! He tells Nick at the end of the workout, "my son's transferring to Saline next year and taking your spot." After that, he just left. I guess his dad changed his mind, as Nader stayed at Pioneer... We all thought it was hilarious...

To answer your question, I think Sheridan would be the winner of playing time this year. However, from what I've seen, Furrha will be a better QB in a couple years than Sheridan is...not that we'll have a chance to see him, since he'll be behind Forcier/Robinson/2010 QB's/etc.
