Mork finally lands his QB

I know some people think it's a waste of time to look at how our Rivals are doing, but this was too good not to share.

After not signing a quarterback in 2019, MSU has made a big splash in 3 star prospect Noah Kim.

https://247sports.com/college/michigan-state/Article/Michigan-State-football-recruiting-QB-Noah-Kim-commits-137764556/Amp/

Kim is the no. 52 pro style quarterback in the country, and 28th overall in the commonwealth of Virginia, and ranked outside the top 1,000 with a rating of .8385.

And he's not even the lowest rated recruit in their class.

He technically decommited from Virginia Tech, though one has to wonder whose decision that really was. MSU beat out other offers from WMU, Fordham, Holy Cross, William & Mary, among others.

Congratulations, Mork!

The only logical conclusion to draw from this development is that State will go 1-11 in 2022, with their only win coming against us in a trash tornado. This plucky kid will inexplicably throw for 450 yards and 10 touchdowns while our 5-star all-everything fumbles the ball 17 times.

Rivals has Noah Kim as a 3-star with a 5.5 rating. That is the exact same rating Kirk Cousins had, who is currently enjoying a pretty good NFL career. Connor Cook was a 3-star with a 5.7 rating, and last I saw him he was grabbing his second MVP trophy out of Archie Griffin's hands. Have any of our QBs politely accepted any B1G Championship Game trophies?

Who knows, he might turn out to be a good player. However, their roster is going to be SO BAD after this season. I hope Mork stays for a while to see this through.

I don't mind the thread because it says more about the state of affairs at MSU than it does about Mr. Kim. He gets a P5 full-ride scholarship and that's great for him. His other offers were Holy Cross and Howard. I offer him my largest congratulations.

I mean, why create a thread to shit on a kid committing to MSU?  He's still a D1 QB prospect at a major P5 program; that's more than could be said for 99.99% of the people here.

Well it was supposed to be, but I suppose written communication doesn't always come across appropriately when writing from a smartphone in a semi distracted environment.

As soon as I can find the edit button I'll fix it so it's more MSU focused instead of shitting on a high school kid.

I know we like to poke fun at MSU (even I do, and I have NEVER pretended to have gone to Michigan. They do not take students who sleep through four years of high school and graduate with a 1.6 GPA)

BUT--let us face facts--Mork does pretty well with whomever he recruits. It might have also coincided with Michigan being un-Michigan over the same time span, but he also managed to beat OSU multiple times and go to the Playoff.

So.....
