The Mitten is Harbaugh's Hand Print

It can't be stressed or celebrated enough, IMO! The best in Michigan go to Michigan. That Block 〽 is represented NICELY in the state's top 15!! In just TWO years, the ship has been righted!!

He's my Norfleet in this class.

I don't think we get Hicks, I think we're in the last 3 weeks and...sitting at 30 or 31 and we put the full court press to get a flip.

This is based off of NOTHING. Just a random shot in the dark, throw shit at the wall and see if it sticks, prediction.

As many have already said on here, Harbaugh's preference is for bigger corners. If he wanted Johnson he would already be a Michigan commit. I don't think we get Hicks either but I don't think D. Johnson ends up here. Christopher Henderson, Brad Stewart, or Ameer Speed I think would more closely fit the Harbaugh corner template. Screw it, let's just get Okudah and call it a day.

We have the top 7 and Paea is #10.

Some notable differences;

  • JaRaymond Hall is #2
  • Donovan Johnson is #21
  • Antjuan Simmons is #11
  • MSU's commiits are #8, 13 and 14
  • KJ Hamler is #9

Are there any ideas why he hates Michigan? Was all his talk a means of bolstering his position for a OSU offer, or was he slighted by Michigan? I know Michigan took its time giving him a look, but is that it? I imagine this kid reluctantly ends up a Spartan. Probably would kill for a Michigan offer at this point.

and he did commit to osu early on (although he decommitted - perhaps not a committable offer). His problem is that Michigan offered late - November 5, 2015, according to 247, after he had unofficially visited 4 times.

By the time UM offered, he already had offers from the following power 5 schools:

  • Maryland (2/19/15)
  • Illinois (6/29/15)
  • notre dame (9/22/15)
  • Miami FL (9/24/15)
  • Indiana (9/25/15)
  • osu (9/28/15)
  • Wisconsin (9/29/15)
  • Tennessee, LSU, Penn State (9/30/15)
  • Vanderbilt, Kentucky (10/1/15)
  • Virginia, Az St (10/5/15)
  • msu (10/7/15)
  • Washington (10/14/15)
  • Pitt (10/21/15)
  • Nebraska (10/22/15)
  • Mississippi (10/26/15)

According to him, Michigan didn't show him any love (no visits to Pioneer, no offer, no calls/txts, etc.). On the other hand, I can get the "spurned lover" thing since UM was probably his dream school, going to school across the street from the Big House. He was probably also BMOC and expecting to get that UM offer fairly early in the cycle. As it was, UM was the 4th to last school to offer him.

I say just go to Maryland and play for DJ Durkin. First school to offer by a mile and Durkin probably knows his game from his year in AA.

Maryland? haha. That's funny. With his position, as much as I hate to say it, he should go to Wisconsin, MSU, Pitt, or somewhere like that if he wants to go in the RB direction. He looks like a damn good prospect so might as well go to a good program for those. If he wants to go defense, well, that's another story.

I've never understood the logic that my dream school didn't show me enough love and now I'm going to spurn once they offer. It's like me saying that I wouldn't sleep with Kate upton if she wanted me because up until now she hasn't shown me any love. It just doesn't work that way.

I have no idea how that started.

He didn't like how Michigan recruited him. He wanted to be made to feel like he was a priority for them. The problem is that he never was. Ross was one of the first commits in the class and Singleton and Anthony were leaning that way for a very long time. There was never a reason to recruit Simmons the way he wanted.

Re-taking the state was one of the many objectives Harbaugh undoubtedly had laid out for his tenure here.

Safe to say he's doing that. There's no disputing the best program in the state anymore.

Honestly thought this was gonna be a post where some guy traced Harbaugh's hand with the fucked up pinky to make the Michigan border shape. Pleasantly surprised I guess?
