Mitch McGary named #1 C in College B-Ball
Mitch McGary named #1 center in college basketball by Sporting News.
A more descriptive title would be much better.
But i will say it now and you will probably see it another 50 times. The title sucks!
I, for one, enjoyed the temporary suspense. Thank you.
yeah
him and Jake Ryan are cousins?
Mitch and Jack Johnson
I love the song Bubble Toes as much as the next guy, but would he be the best corollary for the above statement?

Or Sammiches.
I vote for Beast McAwesome.
Are you paying attention?
After the Tourny he had, he should be the #1 player overall
Isn't MM supposed to be playing power forward this year?
Unless, of course, Montrezl Harrall, Willie Cauley-Stein, and the other players on that list are also moving to power forward this year.

Here's the actual writeup from Sporting News - (HERE).
They gave Mitch McGary an awesome compliment too:
"He has shown great command of every important tool: shooting, passing, scoring in the post, even handling the ball when necessary. He is an insatiable rebounder. He holds his position defensively and blocks the occasional shot. And he plays freaking hard. "
Runner-up in their listing is Montrezl Harrell from Louisville, followed by Willie Cauley-Stein at Kentucky.

this year.We will be fine--more multidimensional with Burke gone.
Burke comment before you end up in Bolivia. Just saying.
What's so wrong with the thread? Is it really such a problem to spend 3 seconds and click on the link?
...Len and Zeller are gone and that kid with the hypenated named hasn't played a possession at UK.
How MM responds to being more of a "go to" guy. My guess is pretty well; we might have surprised people at the start of the tourney, but by the end I don't thikn he was being overlooked anymore. Would be great to see how having an inside presence will help our shooters, and vice-versa.
I think the game slowed down for him quite a bit late in the season moreso than it was a matter of sneaking up on people. He's going to be a force on the boards for us and is great at swiping away entry passes and throwing outlets down the floor... also a good passer for a big man. I think that if he is able to add anything in the way of post moves during the offseason and can improve as an on-ball defender, he will be an unstoppable force against the majoriy of teams we play. I think he's already had it click for him to the point where if the opposition doesn't have enough size to match up, it's going to be awfully hard to beat us.
