How short memories are.  Morgan was actually benched for most of the end of that NC game run year.  McGary had his coming out party and Horford was playing the reserve role. Morgan played about 4 min a night in the NCAA tourney the NC year.

Then the following year it was Morford for the 1st half of the year and then Morgan came into his own the last 15 games of his rs sr year.  But the prior year he had a very rough year (the one we went to the finals)

McGary coming into his own was the reason that team took off late along with Burke being a POY guy.  That's not going to happen often so we have to have a way to win without a NBA center and POY PG.

Instead we are just recruiting the same type of big men as we have now.  Going to be the same issues for next 3-4 years and until Beilein leaves if he doesnt change philosophy.

good to have this early.  you don't know how soft you are until another team punches you in the face.  now they know.  and it will give JB much more fuel in upcoming practices.

why Beilein continues to recruit soft guys like Donnal and Doyle and doesn't even bother with guys like Reynolds in his own backyard?

This is a huge problem with the program IMO.
