A trivia question I don't know the answer to:
When was the last time Michigan played back-to-back games against opponents with the same mascot?
Wolverine Historian? Little help?

It's interesting to think about, as I have started looking back at past schedules to find this answer you realize that the schedule has frequently been built to make this a super unlikely occurrence.
I haven't considered "back-to-back" as being the final game of one year and the first game of the following season, but the structure of the schedule has Notre Dame as either the first or second game of most seasons, and OSU is obviously near the end or at the end of all seasons, so right there it limits the number of opportunities to find any schools with the same mascot and have them play back-to-back. There also aren't a lot of common/repetitive mascots in the big ten.
Curious what this answer is tho, thanks for the trivia!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, because Buckeyes come at the end, we're not going to have back-to-back with a bowl opponent, so it would have to be in the non-conference. The B1G is full of teams with unusual names, though, except Northwestern, so probably not a back-to-back with nonconference then B1G opener.

Ok, to the best of my knowledge, that last time we played teams back-to-back with the same mascot (within the same season) was way back in 1903. Happy I got to stop looking after this LOL

Just showed on the B10 Network that only the Service Academies (Army, AF & Navy) have thrown the ball less than Michigan. Hoping we display a capable passing game today.
