The self-loathing on this board is pathetic.  I would imagine that a Harbaugh-led team would want to compete against the best opponent available.  I guess that is what separates the athletes and coaches that put in the effort from the peanut gallery snipers who extract their own self-worth from the accomplishments of others.

The best scenario is playing Oregon in the Holiday Bowl. No need to play back to back monster olines w pro rbs. Not with this dline, not with these linebackers. A lot of work needed this offseason.

After a full month of rest and preperation, I would be pretty confident with our defense going into that one to be honest. I know people are really gloomy after IU and OSU, but those were always going to be really tough matchups for our D; LSU is much more one-dimensional, and I think we match up better on the whole.

I think it would also be really cool to see us play Florida (the analogues between their program and ours the past 4 years are eerie) or ND (for obvious reasons), but idk how bowl selection works so maybe that's not possible. Plenty of cool potential matchups though.

It's so sick how in the matter of two days our fan base can go from strongly believing we can beat OSU and go to the Rose roll to hoping we get a weak opponent just to win the Citrus bowl. Strange behavior. Frankly, it won't change until the fan base changes. When we bring that many down to Columbus- whether we can get into the stadium or not, the Buckeyes will continue to trash us. I really think 75% are afraid to go to Columbus. Gonna have to be a culture change across the board (which started this year w/ Harbaugh's hire) if we want to keep from having that same gut-wrenching experience that we had yesterday for the next 14 out of 15 years.. Rant over

I'm with ya.. I've tried bringing this up countless times on the blog though - Why are Michigan fans unable to travel down to Columbus in mass to take over the Ohio Stadium? If there's a legitimate reason I want to hear it. Then I'd like to hear some plausible solutions to that problem.

1. OSU fans do not sell their tickets for the game the way M fans do, so not as much opportunity. 2. The legend of how horrible Buckeye fans are has permeated the whole conference. Makes it difficult to summon much enthusiasm to go there for the game. I know I have the intent to go to as many college football stadiums as possible, but the toilet in Columbus is nowhere to be found on my list as I just don't feel the need to deal with it.

We should do well vs Fournette.

By well I mean HASASJASLJASOU)(Q#*)(@*#()@*##PAJALKSAOILU #(*()@*#)@(#@*(*@#

Bolden trying to tackle even 1 thigh of Fournette would be a mismatch.

I much rather would play Georgia.

I'm surprised so many comments suggest we would be better served to play a Bowl game against an opponent without a strong feature back, or zone-read offensive scheme.

In order to advance as a team and become truly relevant in the playoff discussion, we will have to overcome those type of opponents. Might as well get started on it.

I like the back story behind LSU/MICHIGAN matchup and I think Harbaugh and Co. can prepare the Defense to better stop that kind of attack the second time around.

This is MICHIGAN, Fergodsakes.

The mindset of some of you is pathetic. You want to play a lesser opponent to get a win? Just sad. I want to play the best team possible and hope that our coaches can come out with a great game plan after a month of prep.

From a football fan perspective, I'd love to see the matchup.  I mean come on Les & Harbaugh sound bytes for 3 weeks?!?!?  I think the twittersphere would implode....

As a UM fan, I'd like to see a friendly little game with Les (who I really like as a coach and Michigan man).  Of course, I'd want us to win, but it would be good press for Michigan in general with all the subplots.  BUT, dear lord ... facing Fournette is a probably the worst possible scenario for our depleted D line.

Bolden didn't just softly grab shoulder pads all game long. One time in a cowering posture - he slapped Elliot's ass on his way by to the end zone.

LSU is one dimensional. Yes they have a freak at running back but they don't play the same offense as OSU and Indiana. I think we can shut them down and if they get behind they will become one dimensional in the passing

After getting blasted yesterday, part of me just wants Florida because it seems like easier competition. However, this matchup seems fun; and another good test for our Wolverines. Go blue!

I think Harbaigh would relish this opportunity.

It would present an opportunity for the MICHIGAN student/athetes to be 1% better than the day before.

An opportunity to put a little more steel in the spine.

An opportunity to attack every day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.

An opportunity to epitomize what it means to be a MICHIGAN MAN.

If you believe anything else, then you must believe all of his previous statements are hyperbole. You must believe he is selling those kids Kool-Aid.

I've met Jim Harbaugh. I assure you, he is no Kool-Aid salesman.

C'mon - I'm as miserable as the rest of you. But that was funny at least. Bolden's passive tackling attempts were horrible.

Please not another strong running team this year with Ojemudia, Glasgow and Mone out.  If Michigan plays in the Citrus or Outback Bowls, then Mississippi St. or Florida would be more desirable as far as their offenses are concerned.  Ole Miss wouldn't be awful.  Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia have strong rushing attacks.

Pretty sure I read somewhere the Citrus Bowl has to take the SEC runner up if no one above them does. Which means Florida not LSU.
