Merry Christmas Eve Mgoblog!

Submitted by wolverinestuckinEL on December 24th, 2022 at 4:51 PM

What are you drinking?

What are you cooking?

Any fun traditions?

We do Christmas Eve with my sister and nieces, fill a pinata with candy and cash and let them go to town.  Got a prime rib roasting (too cold too much snow to bust out the smoker this year) and the bar stocked.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Chardonnay from a box.

Firing up the Weber on my covered front porch (still cold) to grill some chicken.  The 25th also my wife’s birthday.  Tomorrow is probably spicy spare ribs in a crockpot.

Traditions: this is the 3rd straight year that our family of 4 has not spent the 24th/25th with our nuclear families, bith of which have become a mess.  2020: New Orleans.  2021: Destin.  2022: icy Grand Rapids.

Traded a sports watch for a gun at a Blues Man's pawn shop earlier today. Dressing as Santa and heading out to the Duke & Duke company party in center city Philly. I've got some unfinished business to take care of there... some Marijuana cigarettes, greenies, and assorted goodies to "share" with the fellow who succeeded me in my job. Might grab some champagne and a little smoked salmon then take the bus to find this busty prostitute I met a few days ago.

You know... The usual.

Merry Christmas!!

Have some split pea soup cooking with the ham bone from earlier in the week.  Just baked up some sugar and date cookies because Santa will want a snack tonight.  Have some spiced rum for later while the wife drinks wine.  No presents to put together tonight - first time in 11 years I don't have stuff to assemble!  Will also finish off the pickled bologna the wife got me for my birthday last week.  I love that stuff!

Christmas Day will be at the wife's aunt/uncle's place with the FIL.  It'll be boring, but they're good people, so...  Will smoke a prime rib Monday.

Josephsbrau Winter Ride Double Bock, Shrimp,  drinking and massive supraphysiologically long bong hits past the efficacious levels of THC, a hero's dose of shrooms until I pass out.

Mother Nature cancelled our family plans, so Mrs. Gate 3 raided the fridge and came up with chicken salad Cordon Bleu: pulled rotisserie chicken wrapped in thin sliced smoked ham and Pinconning cheese. Needless to say she's amazing.

I’m in Charleston with my wife, taking in all the wonderful restaurants and drinking establishments:)

had Lincoln straight bourbon for lunch, dinner pour yet to come;)

We are going to Halls steakhouse for dinner, can’t wait.

Traditions? Usually with family in Rogers City, Mi or in Tampa. This year we are trying something new, so far so good!

Merry Christmas, MGoBloggers. Y'all make this place what it is -- fantastic.

Anyway.....drinking Labatt Light (maybe some Crown later, shhhhh) and cooking ham and fixings.

Traditions -- Christmas shows, finishing decorating, hanging stockings. And then wrapping later on, while listening to / watching TSO Ghosts of Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas from CT. I made it although not at the scheduled departure time! Having been stuck in Atlanta I can deal with anything. Daughter, son in law, two grandsons, prime rib and scotch. Life is good. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a Happy New Year!

Staying home due to the weather and swapping in frozen pizza for what would have been beef tenderloin.  At least I have a fully stocked liquor cabinet and beer fridge.

We're having Philly cheesesteaks, and I have discovered that a Philly Cheesesteak is in the same category as politics and religion at family gatherings. WOW, that was a heated debate and NOBODY here is from Philly.  I had no plans of drinking but Captain Morgan's Private Stock is now out. Merry Christmas everyone.
