People criticizing the players should keep in mind how many minutes they've played against a pressing team.  Tired players make poor decisions sometimes.

The D would have collapsed on him if he drove and the refs are prone not to bail out players in that situation. Give the kid credit, he hit the defender with an excellent in-n-out dribble and stepback to get free. Sometimes the shot just doesn't go in.

This is just flat out wrong. The team played poorly, but don't question the effort. Novak had 17 pts and 9 boards. Morgan had 16 pts and quite possibly his best game of the year. Yeah, there were plenty of foolish shots and other stupid decisions, but you don't cut a 20 pt game into a last second chance for a buzzer beater without desire from the entire team.

I agree with most of your post, but I'm definitley calling out THJ's effort. Standing around not cutting, not taking his guy off the dribble, terrible shot selection, getting beat off the dribble. It's either lack of effort or he has an undisclosed injury.

I definitely take issue with his game too. He needs to do more to create his own shot, because he's capable (unless as you say he has an undisclosed injury). I saw the standing around too and was not happy. His defense has never been his strength, but he could do more to show that he's actually working on it.

I also think that there is something slightly off with his shot from normal. He seems to be coming up short on shots far more often than I remember.
