all weight gain is good
including loss of height
Height and weight staying the same is also good.

are going to surprise a lot of people next year. I was recently talking with a State fan who actually follows college basketball a couple of days ago and told him I was excited to see the M v. MSU games next year. He replied "seriously, who do you guys even have left?" Um, everybody, and the two best players on the team are back from injury. So, yeah, we have a few guys "left."
think that our perspective is the national perspective, or even the regional perspective. It is not. All people who are not Michigan fans remember is "missed the tournament" and "lost to NJIT." Fans of other teams did not note our incremental improvement and really do not remember our injuries. Almost all people still think of Spike as the "white kid from Loiusville game" and believe that he already graduated, they are unaware that he was legitimately one of the best guards in the conference last year or that he is still in college. We will be unranked going into the season and most people will be like "huh?" the first time we beat somebody down.
A quick Google search and I found Michigan is predicted to be ranked anywhere from #15 to #25 by all of the following.. There are certainly more but I tired of searching after these. The only list I came across that did not have Michigan ranked was Eamon Brennan from ESPN. So I think its fair to say Michigan is expected to be ranked, but who knows as these are just opinions. I'm game if you still want to bet.

he just convinced me, give me dollar back."
No bet, because from the looks of things I would lose. I will donate the $50.00 to Mott one I find a check that would not bounce, and we can agree that Michigan will be ranked somewhere around 20 pre-season. (But I still think we will be notably better than most expect).
Did the State fan recall that we took 'em to overtime at Lansing last year, with an inexperienced and depleted version of the same roster. Seems a bit presumptuous.
Any word where that extra scholarship is going to this year?
Alright! Go Hudsonville! I hope Hibbitts turns out to be a solid contributor at some point in the future.

Well, to be honest, I was cheering for the city in general.
I'm actually an '07 Unity grad lol. Go Crusaders! (I don't know how the PC police didn't change that name a long time ago...I think they might be the "Saders" now, though)
You can't give walkon freshmen scholarships. That automatically makes them a scholarship recruit guaranteed all four years.
They worked Doyle so hard he shrunk an inch
Summary
- Wilson and Duncan up 20 lbs (all great weight)
- Chatman added an inch and 5 lbs (hope he added some ability to play basketball)
- Walton added an inch and 5 lbs as well
- Maar added 10 lbs
- Dawkins up 15 lbs
- Caris up 5 lbs
- Doyle up 5 lbs but shrunk an inch. ZOMG
he is a more compact scoring and rebounding machine
Hmmm. The changes in height kind of make you wonder how accurate the old (and new) listings were to begin with.
tim hardaway jr grow 3 inches while he was at michigan??? i believe he came in at 6'3" and left at 6'-6"... kids do keep growing after their 18th bithdays...
There's a long history of fudging those numbers at every level in team sports. There were several years under Carr when our OL were all listed 298 or 299 when some were obviously over that. I found that the most amsing.
started under BO actually...
Doyle and Donnal are only 10 pounds different? I'm going to have to see that to believe it. If so, wow! Great.
Reminds me of the OP who so desperately wanted the shirtless photo of the guys at the Dakich residence to "show a buddy".
Had to read that one again for a good laugh.

I can't believe Spike and Caris are seniors :(
Spike is going to be "one of those guys" I can tell my nieces and nephews or someone else's kids about someday.
Cool Story Bro Warning! My friend and I met Stauskas and Spike a couple weeks ago and they could not have been nicer. Although Nik was unwilling to give me insider information on DeMarcus Cousins, but I won't hold that against him.
My mother loves Spike, and she has a lot of credibility: she texted me during the Nats game tonight that the Nats' bullpen is garbage.
Great info. Thanks.
I'm legitimately excited about this team. If we get ANY...just ANY...meaningful contributions from some combination of Chatman, Robinson, Wilson, and Wagner, we'll be in good shape.
Someone needs to get Wagner on the Coach Drevno OL burger diet.
Don't have a link, but I saw a tweet that said Wagner has never been in a weight room before coming to UM.
I'm keeping my expectations for Wagner low next season, so if he does make a real contribution it will be a big bonus. I think he's going to need a season to bulk up some, get his feet on the ground academically, and adjust to the much higher level of competition.
