MBB: Jaaron Simmons to withdraw from NBA draft
This per Brendan Quinn. Sam talked about it on WTKA this morning too. I'm having trouble posting the link to Quinn's article for some reason, but I swear on the eyes of my children that it's out there.
Here's the DetNews link to help preserve the eyes of those children:
That is great news and glad that there is a veteran point guard coming to join the team. It also eases the blow if DJ leaves.
with or without DJ.
just play a mix tape, if we don't have a DJ.
Special K
this adds much needed depth at PG. Could be a huge get!
Between Wagner/Wilson, they'll be a good team, but S16 is probably the ceiling.
If they both return? Could be a F4 team. Michigan could boast one of the best frontcourts in the country... When is the last time you thought you'd say that??
Probably about 3 years ago when we had GR3 at PF and McGary at C, but we all know that went to hell
No, seriously. Great decision.
Churlish
And insubordinate!
He will be present this season.
Why didn't you answer when I said it the first time?
To O' Shaq Henneseys office now
Now I have a whole season of saying Jay-a-aron.

Simmons MAAR Matthews Wilson Wagner is a great starting 5. Duncan as 6th man, Davis/Teske as big rotation and a little more X, along with Livers, Poole, and hopefully some Ibi makes for a pretty intriguing roster.
A lot more X
When I saw this report on Simmons, I actually went over for the first time to look at an NBA 2017 mock draft. I didn't realize how heavily dominated the draft is by one and done guys. 22 out of 30 projected are Freshmen (along with several 19 year olds from overseas.) Whatever happens with DJ Wilson, he would be one of the older guys in the draft. This is incredible. It appears very rare for seniors to go in the first round . . . I don't think there was a single guy who was a senior projected to go in the first round. Basically, college coaches have to hope to have 1 or 2 freshmen stars, surrounded by a very good but not first round experienced roster.

Man, you could have at least sworn on their appendixes or like, pinky toes. Eyes are pretty important.
...I don't have children. The report was real, though.
