I have ESPN text tracking on my phone and died a small death at dinner. Cracked a beer and took a seat to watch the loss and saw the amazing insanity currently going down. Hopefully don't jinx it but I've seen MAN STYLE BASKETBALL from Michigan the past 5 minutes

THAT was what we needed! We were down by like 15 with 10 minutes left! We didn't have any turnovers for the first 18 minutes of the 2nd half, went 6-8 on 3FG during one stretch, LLP stepped up big time, Manny did what a star is supposed to do down the stretch, and DeShawn kept us afloat throughout. Not to mention JB switching to the 1-3-1 was clearly a smart move. Go Blue! Great win, given the hole we dug ourselves.

I don't usually want to go on here during the game, I'd probably freak out on everyone because of the tension. That said, coming on here after the game and reading this thread is pretty funny retrospectively.

So for everyone questioning the Bee-liner at the half, does this mean he is now a good coach? Or does it mean that maybe you should wait to tell us the sky is falling until after an entire game of basketball is played?

It took 35 minutes to show up and beat a bad Penn State team. Yes, the sun has never shined so bright on Michigan Basketball. Sigh. Forest for the trees guys. That was a "whew", not an "I told you so".

I never said we dominated the game. I was more pointing to the people at the front of the thread who were upset at Beilein for "being a bad coach because he recruited guys who can't shoot." It was ridiculous to see all the bandwagoners at the beginning of the thread who think they know more about coaching than Johnny B. I would think this just goes to show that Mr. Beilein has a great strategy but any team in the nation is going to be down big when they shoot 34% from the field, miss every 3 they shoot, and turn the ball over 8 times per half (such as the wolvies did in the first half).

10pm. Just got home. Checked the boxscore and saw the scoring by half, then read this thread for entertainment. Easily the most hilariously schizophrenic thread I've read on here: No, no, no, wha..., fuck Belein, grr, hey, hey, three!, yes, yes, YES! Go Blue!

I totally owe everyone an apology. I turned on the game when we were five down and it took til we were 15 down to realize what a jinxy mess I was making. Apparently it took most of the second half for the team to overcome that kind of misjudgement on my part. My bad, yo. I'll try and spend the rest of the season pretending my TV doesn't get any Michigan games. Games I have watched this season: Marquette, Alabama, BC, Indiana. It's a sacrifice I'll have to make for the good of the team.

I've never seen a team score 3x as many points in the 2nd half as it did in the 1st half... was nice to finally see the opposing team be the one with the long scoring drought for once

We'll just have to live with the fact that we have to at least shoot decently to win - everything will flow from that. This team can't lead with rebounding or defense. We don't have to shoot lights out - just enough for the other team to respect it, keep the scoreboard moving, and allow us to set up the zone defense when we want to. It was amazing how this turned when Novak and LLP started hitting, we were able to get into the zone, Penn State started missing and turning it over, and the run was on. It was fun to watch - looking for more in the next couple of weeks.

No lie, I turned on the TV when we were down 29-42...I was pretty bummed. That was honestly the best comeback I've ever seen. Fantastic game...let's hope it's a spark! GO BLUE!
