Thats when I gave up on sports completely. Games are too often decided by people who arent participating. Its a fun diversion, but I dont get too invested anymore. When I feel myself getting too worked up, I shut the game off and hope for the best until I see a final score

One cannot expect that refs will have any less influence on professional basketball . . . .
Hope this sort of corruption doesn't trickle down to college ball, too; it seems that over time pro corruption has a tendency to influence college ball.

and what they do during the game. Too many people want to forget about all of the boneheaded plays and mistakes they make during the first 75% of games and want to focus 100% on a difficult call that's made in the last minute or two by an official.
January 24th, 2018 at 8:34 PM ^
who miss multiple layups, commit idiotic fouls, throw the ball out of bounds for no apparent reason, wing players that can barely make 50% of free throws and coaches who make illogical player substitutions.
January 25th, 2018 at 6:04 PM ^
So what? That's the stuff that is *supposed* to determine the outcome of a game, not refs.

Wanna be one of the first to Congratulate you on this accomplishment/achievement that you reached today Michigan basketball! Only a handful has reach/seen it too and while I know it's never been a goal of yours from the beginning try(please try) to take a moment for yourself on how you've done it! The House you're about to be apart of has only [fill in # of NCAA champs] seats in it(as of now) but 1 more will be added and you should be very proud and honored to be invited inside. There's so many people to thank who has help this even become possible(so thank them all) and when u finally get your moment(alone) to yourself smile, look up to the higher skies and say THANK YOU! So with that said, Congrats again Young Wolverines

Haha, I get it. Well played.

I will 100% agree with you on this.
(Edit: but that does not mean that I like you)

Pitch the ball to Breaston!
January 24th, 2018 at 3:29 PM ^
not a ref or an opponent's homer employee boning UM. Although if I recall that was one the shittiest officiated games in the history of sport. Sun Belt refs!

What would you call 70 Nebraska players jumping around ON THE FIELD before the final whistle?
January 25th, 2018 at 7:10 AM ^
Charles White fumbled short of the goal line.

BLOCK DOWN CRABLE!! ALWAYS BLOCK DOWN ON FIELD GOALS!

FG was good. Charles White fumbled before even reaching the goalline. Nebraska cheated to complete that pass.

This fan base really sucks sometimes. Complaining about a foul call in a game literally 5 years ago, JT was not short unless you're looking through UM glasses. Claiming a title for a game they lost would be the perfect Michigan move, nobody would be surprised.

I forgot just how egregious that call was. Even Teddy TV wouldn't have called that.

That foul isn't called, that game goes the other way. Trey Burke was a one-man wrecking crew in the second half. Almost won the national championship all by himself.
January 24th, 2018 at 4:45 PM ^
the 1st half himself.

AND BEAUTIFUL.
GO BLUE!!

Indeed, and all 24 fouls that were called on him too.
Also, fuck the refs for not being able to count to five, or care that "five" was even among the natural numbers.
January 24th, 2018 at 4:53 PM ^
Nah, the problem was his foul that was NOT called on him.
January 24th, 2018 at 9:20 PM ^
They came about it naturally...
"Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out..."
BTW, now that the game has been vacated, and thus never will have happened in the first place, can I get a refund? Because not only did Michigan get robbed, but so did everybody at the Georgia Dome that day...

Are they going to send us the banner?
January 24th, 2018 at 2:54 PM ^
January 24th, 2018 at 3:05 PM ^
and we should rehang the Fab 5 banners too.
Fuck em.
January 24th, 2018 at 3:18 PM ^
I'm not a fan of Final 4 banners. They are the equivalent of participation trophies. They imply you won a Regional, (yay,) but you lost the championship. Meh.
