Looking for anything on Mark Harmon's comments

He did a quick speech before the game. On Inside Michigan Football tonight, Hoke said he spoke to the team Saturday.

And there is a press conference on MGoBlueTV with him but you have to have a subscription.

I was ecstatic to see Mark H. standing on the field prior to the dedication.  I'd love to hear/see what he told the team.  

he showed up on the radio and was similarly distant... his comments about UCLA, where he was the starting quarterback, seemed especially odd to me. He basically said he's been back there "once or twice" and didn't seem to have seen a college football game before 

Well, i really liked his comment on gameday when asked about the only time ucla played michigan during his time.  he said he was knocked out fo the game on the 2nd or  3rd series and he only remembered that "they kicked  our ass".

Didn't he grow up in LA?

She also happens to be from Detroit.

And now the one most mythical belongs to a player who might turn out to become mythical himself in the long run. So, it's only fitting that Devin Garnder wears Ole 98. 

Tom Harmon wasn't just a great football player in college, he was a great guy off the field. And I can't think of any other Wolverine who ever received a standing ovation for his play in Columbus other than Tom Harmon. 

As much as we think of Charles Woodson and Tom Brady as huge legacy heroes, and we know of Anthony Carter's three time All-American status, Tom Harmon is the old Heisman winner with the ancient mariner legacy from the leather helmet era, and so time has fogged the memory and the recollection of his accomplishments. 

Michigan football these days is pretty much about the Bo era as the starting point of its modern history. Tom Harmon played in the days that are now mocked as the time when Michigan ran up its record against lesser opponents and built its reputation beating up inferior competition. If that were true, then Michigan wouldn't have such fierce regional and major rivals, which, of course, predate Harmon's arrival at Michigan. 

The irony of that argument or contention is the weak sister scheduling that takes place now in the non-conference just to build stronger identities. You can't have it both ways. 

We can get upset about the way Dave Brandon has ushered in the legacy program and the use of hallowed numbers for current players. We can get upset about the commercialization of the program and the more intense focus on money and brand connection, but behind it all there are simple messages which when distilled, resonate no matter the generation of fan, team or alum. 

Don't you think the emotion of a Brady speech to Team 134 carries the same weight and sentiment as Mark Harmon explaining what his father fel for Michigan, and how proud he was to come back and represent him and their family? This is Michigan, fergodsakes.

I was totally in love with Kelly Harmon in the 70's and 80's.

is anyone else curious to know why special agent gibbs' main sidekick, s.a. anthony dinozzo has to be a osu grad, former starting point guard on the bb team? why not a um grad?  wtf?

I read years ago that the time came when Harmon wanted to donate his actual Heisman trophy to the U, and whoever he contacted turned him down.

For anyone at the game....did they show Tom Harmon highlights on the big screens?

had a nice clip of Mark Harmon talking about standing on the field at  Michigan Stadium and thinking about his dad speaking of the aura of M Football and thinking, "I finally get it."
