In a true SOL way. The lions win. We will finish picking 10th in the draft. We need a change. This gm/coach smartest guy in the room mentality will not win. Okudah other than his int has looked pretty lost again

We still tanking for Trevor Lawrence?

I hope not 'cause Trevor could have a really good career and I don't want him to waste it all on the Lions.

I was already getting in the let’s get a high draft pick mindset.  Fucking Vegas should chart me on this.  Lions always win the next game after I’m ready to move on to next year.

They got a gift from Kyler Murray in this one.  3 interceptions and a terrible decision on his last offensive play when he had a wide open receiver for a first down underneath.  Now one of those picks was a fantastic play from Okudah, but besides that they were gifted this win on a platter.  I guess we can say the Lions didn't give it right back?

Probably not worthy of a thread, but Ruiz is in at right guard for the saints, and Gary playing for the pack but looks like he’s limping.

It's a little known fact that Pete Townshend of The Who (check the username...) was a Detroit Lions fan as a young'un in England.  Such was his frustration when Greg Landry and the Lions took a dump and lost to Dallas (5-0) in the 1970 playoffs, he wrote "Won't Get Fooled Again" as a message to the Lion's fanbase.  He hasn't rooted for them since, and if asked, he would say, Hell no, I never rooted for that steaming deuce of a franchise.  Do not let beating a team with an inexperienced QB go to your heads.  Do not throw a lifetime of Sundays in the real BPONE of the Lion's Vortex of Dashed Hopes.

There is Fandom in between the madness of expecting the Lions to win the Super Bowl based on one win and refusing to root for a team at all.

They are my team, I'm from Michigan so that's the only team I could root for and watch the NFL. I also fully expect them to go anywhere from 0-16 to 12-4 each year and lose in the most inexplicable way to the Packers in the first round of the playoffs should they make it that far. This is fine.

I also plan to help burn down the whole state of Michigan should the Lions make the Super Bowl. I'm only 52, it's still possible.

Well, you're the fan that the Ford family counts on to line their pockets year-in, year-out.  Myself, I'm a lifetime Michigan resident who's been Lions-free since I've been old enough to know better.  I get all the football I need from watching Michigan play on Saturday.

It's amazing, actually, how little you care about professional football once you stop participating in fantasy leagues.

I used to go to one game a year when I lived in Michigan, and I only own a couple pieces of Lions gear at any one time. I watched almost every game when I lived in Michigan, but because the NFL is stupid, you can't when you don't live in the state.

Through the miracle of Internet TV and a stubborn mother, I can again, so I will watch until they are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention like I used to.

If the Fords are making bank off as little as I spend on the Lions, cash and emotionally, more power to them.

To all those who are eager for Quinn to get the boot:

What is it in Sheila Ford Hamp's background and experience that leads you to believe she'll be any better at hiring front office people than her father was?
