NCAA Investigation: These are not the droids you are looking for...nothing to see here, move along. Has anyone else noticed that ESPN is blowing the SEC in hoops too now? Ever since they became their primary network, all of the sudden every SEC hoops team is a powerhouse. In actuality, it's UK and everyone else is average to weak.

I would agree with this to a degree. I watched some of the Texas A&M game the other day and there was no way in hell they were a top 10 team. Sure everyone has an off night, but there were major fundimental things that were wrong with their play. While the SEC basketball does get more coverage now, i still think that ESPN at least on the basketball side is biased toward the Big 12 Big 10, and then Duke and NC. that comes across in who they have announce the games and the coverage the teams get overall. But there has ben a swing in that direction.

It's going to end up being incredibly minor I am sure, but the timing of the announcement is awesome.  Might be the NCAA's backhanded way to try to get at least SOME kind of penalty across the line.

Regarding timing, glad that they didn't wait until after signing day. Could you imagine the backlash if they sat on it to "not overly impact NSD" and then came out a week from today, after kids signed their LOIs.

"The school has received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA enforcement staff alleging roughly 30 violations in football, women’s basketball and track and field, sources told Yahoo. It is unclear at present what the breakdown is in terms of violations by sport. The NCAA does not comment on current, pending or potential investigations."

with the bowls, TV money, and so forth. What I really wanted to say was, isn't this the best recruiting season ever.landing all these recruits the right way? Then hearing that next year we will actually have a legitimate shot at players like Ole Misery 5 star Greg Little, I think thats his first name I know that is his star ranking and last name.

As for the Blindside. I thought that was funny how they portrayed the NCAA like some evil, evil enterprise that only wants to get rid colleges players like Micheal Ohre. As much as the NCAA is a strange org. that I don;t understand most times. IMO it's not inherently evil and College football would not be better off without it.
