Does Brian not let his staff shave during football season? Why does he seem so determined not to put his arms around Ace and Seth? Has Ace ever kissed a girl? Who is the least awkward MGo employee?
I live in Florida and occasionally attend IMG games. It's always an interesting experience, completely unlike a normal high school game atmosphere. My question: is recruiting players from IMG different for college coaches in any way? Does it provide any unique challenges?
He would pass a rule stating all Purdue head coaches going forward must have mustaches and supply passive aggressive anonymous quotes about all the other teams in the preseason preview magazines.
Did anyone else notice the shot of Peppers saying something to Don Brown on the sideline and making him giggle? It might have been my favorite moment of the night. Please find and gif it, Ace.
One of the many delights of this past season was watching Sione burst through (penetrate?) the opponent's unsuspecting front seven on a fullback dive with his manly mane gloriously trailing in the wind. If only for another year of eligibility, sighhhh…
This year is going to be awesome but I'm already nervous about 2017 (I'm a pessimist, sorry). Credit to Hoke, though, for identifying talented quality guys who would stick around.
You were one week ahead of me regarding Hoke. After that Akron debacle, I held out hope they were just sleepwalking after the big win over ND. The UConn game in Hartford the next week (which I had the misfortune of attending) disabused me of the notion and was the turning point in my opinion of Hoke. What an infuriating mess those last two years were.
I would be delighted if the word 'brand' was cast out of the English language. Some business school types, self help gurus, and Hunter Lochmanns would be devastated. Everyone else would benefit. Make English Great Again.
The original piece was very badly done, but leave it to Deadspin to write a tedious, pearl-clutching think piece acting like the whole thing was worse than Mein Kampf.
How much time does Pat Chambers have left at PSU? He's in his fifth season and the team has never once shown any sign of leaving the B1G basement. Are they content with being completely hopeless in one of the revenue sports?
I think Bates would have been a pretty poor choice. Look at his track record at Miami and Boston College. His hirings have been consistently bad. At BC his "major" accomplishments in three years have been putting video boards in the stadium and adding Purdue to the football schedule. The Dave Brandon nightmare taught us that being one of Bo's former players is not enough qualification to be AD.
This seems to be a great hire. I was very worried Brad Bates might somehow get the job, despite his lackluster tenure at Miami (NTM) and BC. Anyone who's major hires are Steve Addazio and Jim Christian is not qualified to lead the Michigan athletic department.

God I love MGoblog.
Outside those three teams, definitely a weak year for the conference. It's what happens when you hire Ed Orgeron, Shark Humper, Will Muschamp, etc.
Taylor is like Vince Smith, but slower.
Driving to Miami right now. Look for three blue shirts in the FSU corner, section 339.
It's obnoxious how Ferentz always seem to perk up just for Michigan, even in years where he and his team are comatose the rest of the season.
Is he a singer or something? Mgoblog is a terrible band name.
"Out coached by Navy. Lololololololol"
It's spelled Niumatalololololololol, genius
After Maryland, Iowa, Indiana, and OSU of course.
Thank you, good sir
Wait, you don't do that?
The Big Lebuckeyeowski. The Dude abides.

don't ever Twitter. Just stay away.
Brock Spack. Joe Tiller's old right hand man who has done a pretty good job as an FCS head coach and has a dreamy mustache.
Have I totally missed that news or is it just quiet whispers at this point?

"Can we have Izzo come in and chew some ass? Let the football staff see how it's done."
I guess you can't teach experience!

maybe wait for a while. The current banner quote seems fitting right now.
Jay Paterno is ready to take that offense to the next level

Shallman's turn now?
and his douchey orange pants. That guy was amazingly good at losing seven games per year and being an asshole to everyone.

Is De'Veon really just a Junior?

For some reason, that picture is causing me flashbacks of the 2013 Akron game
SPARTY NO!!!!

For once Fred Jackson's hype was pretty accurate
I would too, but maybe he just really likes tornados and The Boz and offenses that put up 50 points per game. To each their own.

TL;DR version: Yay Warde!
And it's recent absence makes it all the more treasured. Thank you Schlissel and Hackett.
the radio here in Boston the other day. WEEI interviewed him about his relationship with Brady. He sounds like a funny guy.
