Shockingly enough he didn't blame the players for the loss. I'm sure in the post-interview for MSU's next loss he'll revert back to form.
Izzo was a complete embarrassment in their 1st rd game. Screaming at the refs and breaking things on a correct call despite being up 10pts. I can't understand why he never gets a technical foul but Saddi gets T'd up for saying something to one of his own players.
We are in a position . . . ill suited to making fun of Purdue.
After "The Horror" I suppress my ill thoughts as I was in attendance for that game and it was not a fun post-game. The sports gods have long memories.

I have too many memories of painful M losses to want to rub salt in Purdue's wound. Even if they have lost to the 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th seeds, all since 2016.
That's exactly why I enjoy their tears.

The reigning B1G regular season and tournament champs could potentially return almost everyone on the roster.
But hey, let's have a good laugh at them.

Purdue capitalized on Edey, B1G officiating that rewards inside play, and a weak conference to win the B1G.
UM was in second place with 1.5 weeks left - that tells you how bad the league was this year. UM collapsed in 7 games and lost 6 games by one possession with almost no basketball IQ. Absolutely should have beat IU twice, Virginia, Illinois and Iowa. Even one of those and certainly two of those would’ve put UM in the tourney.
UM had no reason to be in the tourney. Talented and able to string together stretches, but no ability to close out games and play smart when it mattered.
And they’ll lose again to a double-digit seed in 2024.
Painter just needs to lose to a 14 seed to complete his Bingo card.
If Painter returns, they're toast.

They will win the B1G again and be a 1-3 seed. Michigan will miss the tournament again. As embarrassing as it must be for Purdue they are a program in much better shape than us.

The last time a 1 lost to the 16 it seemed to work out just swell the next year, and here you remind us Purdue is in good shape. Damn next time we get the 1 seed I hope we tank that tourney for the dividends the following year.
Feel for guys that lose to a 16. If it was a Duke, OSU or other team I despise perhaps I’d have fun with it but what would anyone have against Purdue unless I’m missing something.
I still dislike shot talking Purdue football vis 2016(?), but mostly Purdue is meh. Glad they lost. If you don’t hate them, it’s still fun for the history

While Purdue takes the brunt of the embarrassment, they’re also representing the B10. Doesn’t make anyone in the conference look good. I’d much rather see an SEC team go down like that than a B10 school.
I've got no love for the B1G, they've hosed us many times in the past.

I mean the Purdue loss is rather amusing, but I sense quite a bit of Mich fan copium trying to equate being the B1G champ/#1 NCAA seed losing to a 16 in the dance, with the absolute sack of vomit the Flying Juwans were this year...I'd 100% trade Purdue's season over Mich's TWill ridden diaper fire of a season.

I rooted for Purdue for one simple reason. Matt Painter is a decent human being in a profession riddled with the Rick Pitinos of this world.
